Hugh , agree with you both on Elpida and target price seems sensible. Lewis can also bring a lot to the table through his Tavistock group:- www.tavistock.com. MAB still have great brands that have gained further market share in the recession, the new management team appear to have restructured the business to be more customer focused and all bad news has been built into the current price. From 230 or less I only see upside. 330-350p TO in my opinion.

Lewis has enough shares to take this out cheaply.
He will not overpay.

Strong trading update expected in Jan. Lewis new bid 300p + in April which may flush out other bidders. Further effiencies at centre in March, new board and ops director in place, divi yet to be returned, further pay down of debt, strong CEO appointment to be announced later this year. It would appear that all the previous bad news is built in. 250p looks cheap given all 2012 upside, not to mention the property value..... One to watch.
