Excellent postings CC & Val.

Robbi - please dont be expecting good financial results - GEX is not a gold producer so there will be little earnings. The sole earnings are likely to be interest from cash in the bank, and there aint a whole lot of that.

The real interesting stuff will be in the lead up to the AGM, the meeting itself and the media coverage of that event followed reasonably quickly by the results of the Goldfields drilling efforts on the Sankarini Project - to be completed before the onset of the rainy season in Mali.

Glencar own 95% of Komana with option to buy last 5% for max $1m dollars.
Goldfields have large stake in 3 out of 5 areas in Mali. 55% I think.
Komana plus one other can be the big winners for GEX.
If Goldfields want 'in' on Komana they will have to pay handsomely in terms of share purchases.
Looking forward like all the rest to the results next week; plus of course any action in between.

Hi robbi,

I'm ignoring it to be honest. It's not just GEX down but loads of stocks are experiencing a 'correction'. I am interested in the longer term more than the near term. Easy to say of course and it is a pain to see prices drift/fall but hang in there, I for one think it'll be worth it. I wouldn't personally try to be clever and sell to buy back cheaper, you may get the chance but an RNS later and you may have missed it!

cc

anybody about? even with gold prices pulling back a little, with the deposits glencar have got and the relatively small market cap, this fall has been overdone surely?

There are 205million shares in issue. 0.25% traded then today - yet the share price is down 8%. Very odd - mm's trying to find the floor imo. Oversold.

well this is not nice! is there something in the background or is it just being manipulated! plenty of sells but surely this is a good opp to top up with results due next week??

Will Goldfields take an increased stake in Glencar?

Do Goldfields have a stake in Glencar already? How much of a stake?

Thanks,
cc

wonder if the MM's will drop this prior to results? the results should be very interesting indeed!

this drop is a little uncalled for!

lol val - ur not wrong there mate! it does seem like we could have another management that under promise and over deliver! i think the goldfields stake will be one to watch over the coming year! we are talking about a potentially huge find here and goldfields would like the majority of it if not all! i know our friend alf believes the same! hopefully next wk should be a poistive one leading to results!

Good find Robbi.
Not one reads the papers anymore.
We only have a week's wait then from Monday.
Could be a good week?
Will Goldfields take an increased stake in Glencar?
I suspect they will.
Komona and the rest look very good indeed!
Major finds across the border in Guinea in the same range of hills.
I think someone knows more than letting on. Then allegedly the management like to have everything under wraps and assured before publicising matters.
Sound like another company I could mention!

dont think this has been posted but all looks good:

"Keep an eye on Irish exploration group Glencar Mining. Its results are due on May 22, and dealers believe it is likely to report a successful year. Recent exploration results from Mali have been positive, and it is hoping for more of the same. The shares have risen from 2.5p last October to as high as 17p, and yesterday edged up 0.25p to 13p."
