05/5/2006 12:42 | EXACTLY CC! You have identified the reason why Im continuing to add, not in hope but in well founded, if reasonable expectation. | ![]() bongo bwana
05/5/2006 11:55 | Patience, absolutely. Although I think news from Goldfields Sankarani will be out in weeks not months. I emailed GEX and they were hopefull of an update from Goldfields, on Sankarani, in May. No promises of course. I am keen to find out how Goldfields are getting on. Goldfields will have done as much research as possible before commiting time and money of exploration here. From reading the GEX website it is claer that Goldfields entered into the agreement on more than a wing and a prayer, they had the results of previous studies and an extensive database. "The Sankarani Project gets its name from the Sankarani river which forms the border between Guinea and Mali in this region. The properties were formerly held by BHP and Randgold as part of a regional exploration programme. Glencar acquired its interest in the area in February 2004. We acquired an extensive regional database from the previous licencees, which has assisted the early implementation of our work programmes." and further down the page.. "The Bokoro, Sanioumale and Farasaba licences are the subject of a Framework Agreement between Glencar and a wholly owned subsidiary of Gold Fields Limited which provides that Gold Fields may spend up to US$12 million on exploration in the area in order to earn a 65% interest in the three licences which comprise the Sankarani Project. Field work on the Joint Venture project commenced in mid February 2006." We know Komana has a great deal of promise but what about Sankarani and later Solona? cc | ![]() cyclingcat
05/5/2006 11:15 | Maybe the get rich quick brigade who bought T10's on newspaper report. Patience for moment I think. See what happens when they are absorbed. The story is still potentially brilliant. | ![]() valentine
05/5/2006 11:13 | Quite a few large delayed sells coming through @ 13.75p & 13.5p | ![]() slj
04/5/2006 11:22 | Liberated from iii "Adhesive1 No offense intended! You got me on to GEX in the first place. Just recomending that MISOLDB put most faith in his own research and judgment. I think I started off by reading all the annual reports on the gex website. You'll see that the company had a rocky few years and were open and honest about the problems, which is why I believe what they say. A simple sum........15,000 ounces @ is $9m a month, $108m a year, conservative half profit = $54m. Forward p/e ratio of 10 and we have a company worth $540m. Around 225m shares issued, so $2.40 a share..........That' Mind you, as you say, Glencar doesn't want to do the mining itself so it'll be a JV or partnership or maybe, once proven, they simply sell the rights and go off in search of more..... Just daydreaming....." LH | ![]() bongo bwana

03/5/2006 20:11 | alfred - that is what i am holding out for, expect the same with CEY too. i share the independents optimism from the other week and probably urs too :) | ![]() robbi123
03/5/2006 20:09 | Further, what are junior minors for? I may be wrong but I think that their purpose is to do the donkey work for the big boys. Most will be unsuccessful, some will deliver. Do junior minors ever have any intention of doing any mining themselves? I don't know, but strategically GEX is not in a bad position, is it? I am still very confident that this is still the beginning. Alfred | alfred palfred
03/5/2006 20:02 | Robbi123 Not at all. It is probably exactly what will happen. Who knows? | alfred palfred

03/5/2006 19:39 | Should've listened to you earlier Rodders. The job often gets in the way at that vital moment when I should be concentrating on the 'real' business of the day. Uhhm? What to do tomorrow morning now? | ![]() valentine

03/5/2006 14:37 | Cant see these falling much further - drop today on uninspiring volume. If it drops to 13p offer this week I will be in for a sizeable top up. FWIW I believe this will turn blue tomorrow with possible double top over next week causing a drop back to 13p. | ![]() kael
03/5/2006 14:06 | sorry to say i got out at 16p with a healthy prof. may get back in on settling, have to agree still very good going forward. good luck all | jackohelp
03/5/2006 13:58 | Well my first hunch was correct. What do brokers know? Eventually got out for 14.5p. Will be back in for sure as soon as this drop is over. Up to now there has always been something pending. Now there MAY be a slight re-tracement while we wait. IMHO, I think a lot of people with big profits in this are just protecting them. The quality of the stock and the CO. remain excellent. | ![]() cestnous
03/5/2006 12:53 | Tbh Rods, think this dropp is well overdone - Im guessing a spring clean from those who were in at the placing and warrants is forcing this down. | ![]() kael |
