Definitely big big news at the AGM. It's a bit like the pregnant Lady walking down the street with an obvious bump and meeting a savvyless male acquaintance. She told him she was expecting a baby boy at Christmas. HE replied *Do you mean this Christmas? I'm absolutely sure it won't be the same with Minco. (I think)

I think Minco survived the end of commodities super cycle better than most actually, positioned themselves brilliantly for the recovery which we are already seeing in the zinc markets and this stock has the downside protection associated with a funded gold investment, management have done a good job whilst taking very little remuneration. The negativity associated with management in my opinion goes back to the sale of a zinc asset which like it or not turned out to be a good deal and is the reason why there is cash in the bank now and some good assets for the present and the future.

The thing that is holding this back is PM prices. If they took off everything of any value remotely related to PMs would take off also. Until then they dance to the manipulators' tune.

Lol....i wish it brings a smile to our faces i really do, but we have been let down by managment for many years, i was optamistic once upon a time with every agm and update only to realise its the same promises again and again jam tomorrow if it wasent then the city would have seen this and the share price would be 3p plus, its not and that is because they know its years away before any true is seen, therefore it will drift straight back down albiat a few spikes here and there when people get excited around agm time....like i said before it 3 years plus probably before we see sustained price increase until then its just the same old minco....

I don't think that's what happened "THE BIG FELLA".

yesterday there was at least one buyer accumulating shares.
This continued this morning. That the share price is back down because of a couple of small sell orders has nothing to do with that.

The fact is that most of the volume today and all of the volume yesterday was at much higher prices than we have seen over the past weeks. This means that people are actually buying.

As soon the buyer stops buying, market makers bring the bid / ask back down and we are looking at a share price of 1.25 - 1.35 again. That doesn't matter. As soon you start buying a number of shares at 1.4 or so the bid/ask will go back up again.

And that's exactly what will happen. When? I don't know. May be tomorrow. May be next year. The value will ultimately be recognized.

TBF,

Very true, I think some 'hot money' flowed in here and then straight out to MATD!

Strange how some folk work.

What's the expected cash position here when they get the cash in they are owed?

Looks like the guy who bought 3 Mins before the bell couldn't wait more than 10 mins this morning to dump in 2 shapes at a loss. Those that that are prepared to take a slightly longer view may fair a little better :)

Jeez, that was very harsh.

Bit of a nasty drop on little volume.

In general there is a much greater appetite for smal cap resources plays. This has been rising steadily for most of the year. There is no reason why that should not continue.

Exactly fiver This is about buchans and Woodstock. It's about Canadian zinc, newfoundland etc...Pennines is a small sideshow possibly for later. But you can see the comparable assets here, the pennines is small compared to everything else......yet back in 2013 the market boosted minco to 25mill on the pennines alone....there was nothing of buchans or Woodstock or Canadian zinc Corp......they are worth many multiples of that 25mill

Minco zinc is more about Newfoundland and potentially moate than Pennines in my view, Canada looks very encouraging given recent announcements.

Given the Dalradian NSR is worth circa £14m plus the company has a bit of cash if suddenly Buchans has value then this could be re-rated to 4p+ very quickly in my view.

Zinc at multi year highs. So why is the share price here not? They have cash, exceptional management and great projects.

It must be at least 18 months since there was any exploration at Pennines.

apf, thats the most sense you have ever posted, never thought I would have ticked three of your posts up in one day!

Read the Pennine Zinc reports in the national news stories from 2014 earlier.

Their projects look to have real scale, no idea why it's so unloved.

I wonder what caused today's flurry. Was it the overflow from AYM or some news leaking about the AGM or the markets finally realizing that Minco exists. With metal prices as they are, even without rising any more, it's looking very good. Next 8 days should be interesting maybe even exciting. Roll on the 25th.

Back to the report about mining for zinc in the pennines, once it's running, they estimated it could create 300-500 jobs......so it must be worth a fair but..!!Don't believe me... Search for....(mining company drill for zinc in pennines)

Still remember when news was in the media and tv about the potential here and the zinc in the pennines. It smashed 25m cap and 5p Since then, xtierra land acquisition, resource updates, buchan acquisition, bobbys pond acquisition, drilling updates, Woodstock manganese project (massive potential 500m+), drilling at buchans, newfoundland, moate island, czn collaboration agreement....And all this time, they are riding with the same cash and haven't had to raise, amd still have plenty left.Massive potential. On several different jv assets.25m is just a sensible stopping point.Once dalridian is bringing in the bacon, minco will be cash generative and can explore and produce from some of their other massive assets.500m+ is not out of the question.
