They can't ask the market for more money as the share price is below 5p. I think with PS out of the way things should move forward and maybe better reporting of the company true position. Cash position not good, but maybe they can get credit against future business from somewhere. We can all but hope

Yeah sounds good going forward.
But then again MBK have previously over promised and under delivered.
maybe this year will be different.
I am also concerned about the cash position of the company and feel the lack of cash is holding the company back see quote

"The nanotechnology sector continues to grow and spawn many new businesses some
with enormous growth potential. The buy and build policy designed to transform
Millbrook into a broader nanotechnology group has had to be put on the back
burner as a result of the cash constraints I referred to above. Nevertheless,
when cash considerations permit, Millbrook will be in a position to resume its
quest for acquisitions that complement and reinforce our existing portfolio,
providing an enhanced product range for our customers and enhanced value for our
shareholders"

On the one hand i am impressed that the company does not seem keen to come back to the market for further funds at the drop of a hat. But that could be because the share price is so weak.

On the other hand it could make existing investors wary that a further placing might not be that far away.
As always

Whilst results are not good, they do say 'I am pleased to say that looking
ahead we expect current confirmed orders to generate substantial cash flow and
significantly improve our cash position as the year progresses giving us greater freedom to grow the business.'

Appointment of Non-Executive Director

"Stephen Blank was a director of Lawson Alexander Blank Limited from 1 June 1992
until 3 May 2005. An Administrator was appointed to this company, now renamed
MOS Realisations, on 24 June 2005. The estimated total deficiency as regards
members totalled #93,786 and there was no deficiency as regards creditors.

Stephen Blank was also a non executive director of Gaynor Group plc when it was
placed in to Administrative receivership."

Maybe they just want to get rid of some of the excess profit they ripped off customers for. So next year this would help to make a very small hole in their profits,

"High probability", as followers of Mr Stefanini might recognize, is a familiar phrase.

I'd now use it in connection with the knacker's.

Did a Google on "Paul Grasske" - must be better than Stefanini !!
There's a chance that the market will warm to him and the price go up. I can't see how they can get more cash just now beacuse that involves sponsors paying 5p for 2p shares. The best thing that could happen to us is a takeover but who would want it ?

About time kept trying to tell you guys. Anyway this is the best move for the company things can now begin to move forward.

Pugugly I feel that you are correct and looks like one of the only way for the company to survive is by funding it could take the form of a private placing. I would expect the discount on the present share price to be large. Don't know how they would manage this though they would need approval to issue shares at 1p.

About a year and a month ago they were issuing statements on AFX. Wonder why they're delaying this year ?

I am already down 74% when you are in this deep you can only hang on for the ride and keep everything crossed. although it looks like there are still buyers as the price has moved up from the low

Blackfox is right. From their announcements they had 1.6M on the books but they didn't say if they shipped the two instruments mentioned in the AGM statement. Even if they did they would have to get another 1M in orders, manufacture and ship them by the end of the FY to reach 2.5 - is that likely ? I think this last statement hides more than it reveals and I suspect it is, like many in the past, over optimistic. What new products ? Can you manufacture and ship 2M in sales with only 98k in the kitty surely with 60% margin they need a lot more than that ?

Presumably the increase in sales in the second half is mainly due to the new products. People would not have bought in the first half if they knew a new product was just around the corner.

Given that they did not make too big a loss in H1 on poor turnover, perhaps we will see a decent profit in H2. Perhaps.

"a sales level of around £2,500,000 is anticipated for the full year."

Seems on the high side. If my maths are right they have shipped some £367,000 worth since 30th September (i.e. at the rate of £4,829 per day including weekends) If deliveries continue at the same rate they will only ship some £882,000 in the 2nd half to give annual sales of £1,505,000 for the full year.

If they are to meet the target shippments will have to average some £20,000 per day including weekends for the rest of the financial year.

Can someone double check my figures please incase I am being too harsh

I have not yet considered likely profit/loss figures or cash flow constrainsts.

NET CURRENT ASSETS only £98,759

blackfox & kritic:. Thanks for your input - Very much ties in with my gut feel. Really need feedback on products before I write it off. I suspect I will have to find an expert inthis field and put him on retainer for a few days - then if a strong positive- buy.

PUGUGLY - where is the evidence that MBK products are cutting edge ? If they are why can't they sell them and meet there own targets ? Perhaps the products are been missrepresented, the targets are fictional or the management is rubbish but if any of these is true all SH's may loose out. Let's hope for some good news soon because I can't see why a major would want to buy MBK and if some previous postings are right tey may wait to buy it from the receiver for £1.

PUGUGLY - You've spot on, some cash may arrive soon but how long will it keep the company afloat. As to how much a major would pay for then. The answer is not much. I believe that competition will arrive soon.

I 've been saying for many mts now that people should be careful and ask questions. I hate seeing SH loose their hard earned cash.

Share price continues to drift down. Original VC
have now put their man on the Board. Not sure if it will maake much of a difference.

I like the apparently cutting edge products BUT not the margins and definately not the delivery delays and slow level of sales. Almost looks as though they may need more cash and I strongly suspect that the market will not support.

Any views on how much a major might pay for Millbrook, or would they even want it. I am not suffiently scientific to know whether their instruments are the Gold Standard or just one of many in this area.

Any opinions?
