No-one wants to list a good company because of this carry-on. Instead market has orphaned dross.

Punting (speculation) is the problem with AiM. Everyone burnt, prices bombed out, volumes falling, investment drying up.

King said "Of course Dr Biotech knows it all....how many times do people come on any board and state that I know this and that!!!"That's simply wallowing in ignorance. I hope it works for you pal. Dr Bio explains in this thread that signing up distributors is not equivalent to success. Most couldn't sell and just hope the OEM marketing will cause the orders to roll in without effort. Spending money on shows, marketing and signing up distributors is easy. Competitive selling is hard and requires sophistication and experience. Commentators with an industry background know that. Ramping is the bane of AiM.

I think the important thing to remember here is that this is simply a penny punt with the company at the beginning of a 5 year recovery plan and the share price at historical lows

Any sort of positive update could see a bump up in the sp

Well I hope it’s good. One of the things to look at is the quality of the distributors they have signed up.

I know a handful of people at Omicron in the UK, decent enough company but more focused on dissolution and TLC. Last time I spoke with them (Oct) they hadn’t sold any and really wanted a showcase customer to get them going. I knew the founder there quite well.

Knauer in Germany and Spark Holland are both good smaller HPLC companies. I’ve almost never seen their equipment in the big pharma companies (this is dominated by Agilent/thermo/waters) but they do quite a lot of stuff in universities and independent labs.

Two other distributors I know noting about

The Malaysian company looks useless.

The Czech company is mostly tablet testing and also sells sciex MS. I can’t see the microsaic kit on their website

It would be something to mention at the meeting. FWIW we used to sign a lot of distributors at Pittcon/Analytica etc. Would take about 2-3 years to find out if they were any good. Some were just collecting product lines, others went out and sold properly.

I have no position, it’s the closest company I’ve known to what I do for a living so it’s of obvious interest

Barnes, that may well be the issue here as the market has been set an expectation marker so here's hoping that they do keep to it.

Market will not take any prisoners but will reward if MSYS comply.

The market has already been told to expect very significant revenue growth from this year onward and that orders for the first half of the financial year were equal to the whole of last year

My thinking is that unless this was the case they would not enter into an investors event. After all they didn’t last year?

My only hope is that this board of directors are an honest bunch unlike some on AIM

So confirmation of significantly ahead of 300K and some juicy forward looking statements will do for now

I would just like to say that from previous interactions with Dr Biotech on other threads such as IMM, he does know what he is talking about. I have an open mind here and only a small holding. When working in Pharma, I was involved in a project which used mass spec for measuring a certain part of our molecule when it was metabolised and know what a competitive field it is.

I hope to learn a lot on Monday....

Is the performance of their technology competitive or not? Can you buy better performance from a competitor? No company will explicitly state that its technology is uncompetitive. The marketplace will decide and sales will either rise or fall: That is Dr Bio's point which makes sense I think.Simply challenging the bullish view here before leaping in because it might be a bargain.

Dr bio may or may not know how this will ultimately
unfold

I prefer to listen to commentary from what I hope is an honest company!!!

Each to their own but I would never call my own investment because I listened to a bb poster

Dr Biotech knows what he is talking about. In my view, he speaks from first-hand experience of the instrumentation industry. Play the man not the ball.My reservation is regarding the performance of this technology. No amount of distribution deals will succeed if the technology is not competitive.
