Hopefully todays RNS will see us climb - buy back and cancellation of just over 7% should has to be worth something.

Also worth noting that they couldn't spend the whole £10m - actually over £3m short because nobody else wanted to sell!..... £1 here we come! : )

Edit: If current value is to be maintained, the buy backs should add about 7p per share....

I agree, can't see any reason to sell.

If you think the company is doing well, as I do and as the company itself seems to be saying in trading reports etc. then the only reason one might possibly sell is to raise cash.
If there are those in that position then fair enough, otherwise hopefully the company will perform rather better in the future than a 80-90p tender range.

Can't see why anybody would sell for what would only be a 5p premium. With £10m off the market thats less to trade, more EPS (as P2 said) and presumably a higher divi if progress stays on track.

Unless there is an insti with some it wants to off load I just get the offer, to be frank it's pathetic!

Likewise. Good management. Good product. Good cash generation.

EPS should increase by about a fifth if 10M cash is used to buy back shares (approx)

So the tender is in the range 80 to 90p. I assume nobody is going to sell below 90???? - so what happens if nobody/not enough people tender??

Do they up their offer?

I want a £1 ; )

They're buying back shares so number of shares will reduce.

Surely no impact on EPS? After all profitability will not be affected, and the number of shares issued will not change. Just reduces cash balance.

It puts a firm floor on the price, the reverse may also apply - at least
for the next few months.

Can anyone calculate the likely impact on EPS ?.

Calculate the £10m special divi to be around 11p per share if it goes through.

They really look a good set of results and with cash in the bank, too, for the confirmed buy-backs, and maybe acquisitions.
The buy-backs should put a firm floor under the price.

The fact that performance 'remains on track to meet the board's expectations for the year' is also encouraging.

It would be good to see some decent press comment recognising the company's performance.

What a cracking set of results!!! Should see this step up a little today..

Particulalry like this bit - "Proposed tender offer to return up to GBP10 million to shareholders."

Thanks Darola - hopefully it'll shake the share price up a bit - in a positive way.

I notice last year the TU was 7th July so running a bit behind this year.

Feels as if it is set to go higher, particularly if overall market sentiment improves a bit.
Recent director buying, and now an investor going over 3% is really encouraging.
Who is/are Highclere?

We are showing as XD on my ADVFN monitor today, yet the recent results says dividened is payable to those on the register on the 19th.

I assume it is the usual XD a couple of days before the register date, and if so explains the little drop today. Another 1.5p divi per share to go with the 4p special they paid before xmas.

I'm in AYM and have a small holding in AEX at 13.5p this week (planned to be quick in out initially). Might have a look at the others as can never have too many options.

G78, MCGN have had two aborted acquisitions in recent years, but seem to be slow-moving in assessing their targets and catching them (which may be no bad thing!). I agree they will make acquisitions, but how long will it take is the question?

Most of my MCGN shares were in ISAs. I've bought some more AEX and AYM, which have both done well since. Got some EROS outside of ISAs and intend to get some more GNG. LOQ's results were excellent today, so might get some more there too. And MTT has humungous upside as a punt...
