As far as I know the bigger one is Standard Chartered. I've not been told it is a secret but they have project teams on the ground in Korea, Hong Kong, London and Toronto. Accenture are really running the show, but Microgen have a large consulting team at each site.

Excellent Stuart14, many thx. Nothing like getting info on what's really happening out there.

Sounds like HSBC is a biggie. When you say you're working on "a few of them", do you mean other clients taking up Aptitude, or a few people within the HSBC project?

OT : whatlp, either you completely missed the point or you were being sarky. I hope it was healthy cynicism rather than brain-death :o))

HSBC.

I'm working a few of them at the moment. There is quite a bit of take up with Apptitude (sorry, I'm an IT recruiter),.

Also need Senior Architects, Project Managers, Data Modellers etc.

Nobody has any experience with it yet though, too new, so we are cross-training people with experience of other Rules based engines. SAP's Bank Analyzer, Summit etc.

Up again.

I understand MCGN are having their monthly Board Meeting today. I would guess that high up the agenda will be finalising the trading statement...

Obviously we'll have to wait at least another week until the IMS, that's assuming there will be one.
Looking back at the statement this time last year, it was accompanied by a share tender offer. Another this time round would put a new floor under the price and inspire considerable confidence I imagine.

Truffle, only that last year's IMS was on 14th October, so this year's should be any time now.

Looks like we still have buying interest here.

A new interview with the COO about the transforming qualities of BPM:

"BPM: More Than Faster Way of Pushing Papers
Joe McKendrick
Insurance Experts' Forum, September 29, 2009

I've been talking about business process management (BPM) in recent blogs here at INN, as well as articles in the works. In "Building BPM Solutions Into the Front Office," I talked about how one insurance carrier was able to deploy BPM technology to automate its online sales and renewal processes. The effort has enabled the company to transform the way it does business.

Traditionally, insurance has been a paper-pushing industry, and much of the BPM work that has been done to date focused on automating and digitizing these processes. But just as paving cowpaths won't handle the next generation of traffic, the arrival of BPM as a transformational initiative is creating new opportunities for carriers to think about new ways of doing business.

As part of my exploration of BPM within the insurance industry, I had the chance to talk with David Sherriff, chief operating officer with Microgen, a provider of business process outsourcing, BPM, and other solutions for the financial services and insurance sector.

etc"

Nice bounce.

Thx Stuart, looking forward to any further impressions from you. Last year's trading statement was out 14th October, so not long to wait.

A reminder of the outlook from the interims:

"Prospects

The Group's performance in the first half of 2009 reflects the success of the investment in Microgen Aptitude and related products, supported by high recurring revenues from the Group's other products and services in slower growth market sectors. As a result, despite the difficult economic and market conditions, the operating margins reported in the first half of the year were ahead of Plan, with all development costs expensed.

The market-leading capability of Microgen Aptitude and the Microgen Accounting Hub is now converting into tangible results and the products continue to win against market leading competitors in Europe and North America. With a rapidly expanding blue-chip customer base and excellent references from successful projects (often leading to further projects within existing customers), the Board are confident that the return on the investment in Microgen Aptitude will be realised. While the Board remains cautious and prudent, particularly in the current unpredictable market, Microgen has delivered another excellent operating performance and, as advised in the recent trading update, remains on track to meet, or possibly exceed, the Board's expectations for the year."

Hi Rivaldo. I'm not an "Insider" just working with them on a project. Can say I have any views yet, it is too early to tell, but i've spoken to people who feel their new products could be very popular. I guess we'll see, I don't hold here yet.

The share price seems to just keep moving forward steadily which is good news.
The strong cash position is also encouraging as there will no doubt be
opportunities to put it to good use in the current market climate.

Stuart14, how's it going, what are your impression of MCGN etc? Always useful to get an "insider's" impression. Just read the last few posts to understand MCGN's strong prospects and the even stronger Balance Sheet/cash pile.

Hi guys. Any reason (other than the wider "Bull" market) for the rise recently. I'm doing a bit of work with Microgen at the moment so if the sales of Aptitude aren't in the price I could be tempted to get onboard!
