06/9/2017 22:13 | kuss1. You could be right. I make MFGP closing price 31.71 equivalent share price 2431p UK at current exchange rate. | ringer12
06/9/2017 21:25 | Mcro ended up some 6%. But MFGP up 8.66%. Should open over 2400 tomorrow. It's capital markets day so I can see another strong day. Get the feeling this will be breaking all time highs soon. That 7% quarterly growth in margins and the turnaround in revenue decline has got the market focussed on the level of cash generation and just how cheap this company is. The HPE turnaround is also helping.... | kuss1
06/9/2017 17:28 | Should go north of 2400 tomorrow hopefully.. | losses
06/9/2017 17:13 | yes, very useful, thanks Enami. so correct me if i'm wrong, but we can follow the US share price on the basis of a rough exchange rate of $1.30 to £1? therefore at the present time its at $30.67 so its back up to £23.58 | mattyd

06/9/2017 09:53 | wtf are the BBC talking about? 8:29 FTSE 100 opens lower The London market is down 0.4% in early trade at 7,340.17. Interestingly Micro Focus is the biggest riser, up more than 4%, despite having issued a profit warning. | mattyd
06/9/2017 09:49 | Not bad for a down day on the FTSE and Micro's update in January to come! | ringer12
06/9/2017 09:45 | The price rise today is welcome, and indicative of some having looked at this based on reality, unlike the opinions of so many posts on here, which amount to puerile ranting. Having topped up on 31 August at 2305p, I confess to feeling smug. This company is in a business where their services will be required for many years to come, in an environment where takeovers (which may one day include themselves) produce situations where excess costs can easily be trimmed without impacting on the actual job being done, and where barriers to entry are high and practically non-breachable such that competition is not that much. It's a good solid business, well run, and producing results year in year out that auger well for the future. All in my humble and financially well rewarded opinion. :) | andrewbaker

06/9/2017 08:55 | Yes sogoesit, I'm just assuming a gradual rise. Could well rise to more than 40. Capital markets day tomorrow. And a pe of 17 is low for a tech co throwing off cash.. | kuss1
06/9/2017 08:48 | kuss1, I think you may be conservative on margin improvement. My view is that their target will be to match their own current 45%. Based on that assumption, some time ago, I valued the combined entity at £30 on a P/E of 17 at a Forex of $1.3/GBP. That's my price target for the full year to 31 October 2018. | sogoesit |
