16/1/2007 10:13 | Excellent chart, but when I see charts like this I always fear correction retracement or profit taking.Hopfully not in this case, and certainly no deramping implied. Wonderful company 56th out of the top 100 best companies. | veg man

09/1/2007 10:00 | Michael Page Interna STOCKWATCH European recruitment firms under review at Goldman Sachs LONDON (AFX) - Shares in European recruitment firms were under the spotlight at Goldman Sachs this morning, with the broker positive on Michael Page PLC, recommending the stock as 'buy', yet negative on Adecco SA and Vedior, both cut to 'sell', dealers said. The US broker also downgraded Randstad NV to 'neutral' from 'buy', trimming its target price to 50 eur from 57. Adecco suffered a downgrade to 'sell' from 'buy' as the stock was removed from Goldman's pan-European buy list, with a revised target price of 75 sfr from 90. Meanwhile, Vedior was lowered to 'sell' from 'neutral', with its price target shifted to 14.50 eur from 17.25. The broker's stock of choice was Michael Page, kept as a 'buy' with an increased target price of 1,950 pence from 1,942. The broker noted that European staffing markets have historically slowed in the wake of a US downturn, and forecasts this will happen in 2007 following the slump in 2006 as industrial labour demand in America eased. However, in contrast to the US, a slowdown in volume is not expected to be offset by wage rate growth -- driven up by a healthier professional temping market -- as Europe's professional temping market is too small, the broker noted. Goldman Sachs said in a note published this morning that long-term growth rates are likely to be slower than many expect. The broker believes the high-end professional and clerical markets will prove the exception. The US broker said Michael Page is an exception to the rule due to its high exposure to high-end professional staffing business, while Adecco and Vedior are highly exposed to industrial temping and therefore will find it difficult to escape a slowing European market. At 8.24 shares in Michael Page were up 1-1/4 pence at 450-3/4. newsdesk@afxnews.com bk/har | seagreen
09/1/2007 09:59 | Well I gone long on the pull back...Goldman Sachs have a target of £1,950 4 bagger! | seagreen
08/1/2007 19:46 | I cannot believe the great press coverage this had this morning and theres been no one here all day, the mind boggles. The charts dont look so bad either | theband
08/1/2007 08:12 | Looking good indeed! £5 should be breached fairly quickly. | pkw
05/1/2007 12:12 | Today appears to be just selling before results - personally, can't see reason for that; assuming last quarter's momentum has been maintained, then a further upward rating looks very likely. Added today. We shall see if that was timely. I think MPI will also find itself to be subject to a bid if it keeps performing so well: I would expect north of £6 for starters. We shall see. | pkw
31/12/2006 11:34 | I thinks this one may retrace alittle, but never mind it would make a good entry point. | veg man
06/12/2006 09:03 | The RSI is also saying that the upward path is set to continue - £5+ looking good. | pkw
21/11/2006 08:45 | stop should have triggered yesterday first thing or this morning, but it hasn't (maybe advfn charts in error?) interesting bounce now. if it takes out the reaction high, this is off to 500p | wcjan25
16/11/2006 17:58 | Bit of profit taking. Yesterday's move was impressive, so no stop for me in this market until we see some sort of reversal. | rochdae
16/11/2006 17:51 | target is round about 500p but stop at 418p looking in danger here | wcjan25
15/11/2006 11:42 | At the rate it's going £6 doesn't seem that far off. | rochdae
15/11/2006 09:47 | Whats your target WC ? | chippy2 |
