07/9/2007 11:59 | Nice to see a bit of a tick up finally. I added a few more yesterday - it's back at what should be good support levels, technical indicators are showing some nice positive divergences, and the AGM statement was very positive, all re-enforcing my view based on the fundamentals that fair value right now is nearer the year highs than these levels. Another positive RNS this morning can't do any harm, either. Small caps are out of favour at the moment, but I'm happy to put my money in where I see what looks like good value and wait for it to shine through in the fullness of time. | bletherer

07/9/2007 08:46 | Morning all, Agreed wbj on the infrastructure. I note that the share price has not moved since yesterdays presentation. This seems to suggest that those that attended in a professional capacity are sitting on the fence a while longer. I am aware that Marben attended and I would hope others did as well. A balenced view is needed not one persons interpretation (especially if that person holds shares) of the info given out. Maybe with technology as it is we may soon be able to look in on a webcam presentation and glean the info ourselves. Again I kick myself for not attending. Have a good day all, Its friday so I hope its a blue day. | jason8466
07/9/2007 08:41 | Yes... and I imagine there's some quiet satisfaction that, having kicked MPH in the teeth, YSL might now find themselves facing a little competition :0) Cheers, Mark | marben100
07/9/2007 07:31 | Morning looks like a great move by MM to utilise the YSL infrastructure to expand the Ungaro line, excellent strategy............ | wbjunior
07/9/2007 07:26 | Marchpole New Licence and Distribution RNS Number:4492D Marchpole Holdings PLC 07 September 2007 MARCHPOLE HOLDINGS PLC ("Marchpole" or "the Company") New Licence and Distribution Agreement First Licence and Distribution Agreements For Emanuel Ungaro and Ungaro Homme in South America Marchpole Holdings plc, (LSE: MPH), the fast growing fashion brand management group, is pleased to announce the first long term licence and distribution agreements for Emanuel Ungaro and Ungaro Homme in South America. These agreements have been signed with the leading Colombian menswear retailer and manufacturer, TEXTRON SA ('Textron') for an initial period of five years, extendable for a further five years. Under the terms of the agreements, Textron will manufacture the Ungaro Homme formal wear range and will also purchase Ungaro Homme casual wear from Marchpole to augment the formal wear range. Both ranges will be distributed through TEXTRON's 28 wholly owned retail stores, "Villa Romana". In addition Marchpole will also supply Textron with a full range of Emanuel Ungaro menswear to be distributed through a new Emanuel Ungaro flagship store in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. This new store will be designed to adopt a 'lifestyle destination concept', another first for the Emanuel Ungaro brand, and it is expected to open in November 2007. Michael Morris, Marchpole Executive Deputy Chairman commented: "We are delighted to sign this agreement with TEXTRON. We have known the company for many years as the successful Colombian licencee for the Yves Saint Laurent menswear diffusion line. It is therefore wholly appropriate for us to collaborate with TEXTRON to launch the Emanuel Ungaro menswear range into South America, and further endorses the Board's strategic decision to use the Ungaro menswear range as a successful replacement for our former YSL licence. We value the partnership with TEXTRON as another important step towards the international expansion of Marchpole into lucrative markets such as South America, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with the company." - ends - For further information, please contact: Bell Pottinger Corporate & Financial 020 7861 3232 David Rydell/Emma Kent/Amy Rajendran Marchpole Holdings plc 020 7908 7777 Michael Morris, Executive Deputy Chairman John Harrison, Finance Director Note to Editors: - Marchpole Holdings plc ("Marchpole") is an international brand management group that designs, produces and sells clothing and accessories for ten globally recognised fashion labels.
