28/7/2007 11:02 | Chart is not bullish but possible bounce off 200sma if not before.Who said investing was easy.Trailing stops tested for second time MPH down over 20% (190p-193p).DOW and world markets selling off & element of unease concernig loss of YSL.Markets accept sells with open arms, take down to where buyers re-emerge.Take heart Director buying recently @ 153p, deals in the pipeline and looking for further acquisition. In other words news could come at anytime.Silly selling it seems to me.MPH seen pain before.Patience rewarded.Hardman & Co 2008 target price of 240p remains valid.Half glass full view, when achieved 60% upside from here.aimvho.dyor. free stock charts from www.advfn.com | lex1000

27/7/2007 12:18 | If that is the case, pity as won't be the first RNS company could have improved wording on.Aim should be investor friendly as will be aware common reaction to FD resignations.Do not subscribe level 2 but wouldn't surprise if SCAP like last time on the bid picking up shares on the cheap.Crazy anyone selling sub 150p if you ask me.aimvho.dyor. | lex1000
27/7/2007 10:47 | Thanks wynmck. Shame they didn't say "due to ill health" in the RNS, might have calmed reaction a bit. | marben100
26/7/2007 18:21 | Reply to an email query in April advised me that "John Harrison has been out of the office for several weeks now following an operation" -could well be he has resigned for health reasons | wynmck
26/7/2007 15:59 | Lex - before interims there are two more data points that might help us assess MPH's prospects better. Firstly, we have the annual report (due in August): that will contain more detail on last year's figures than the prelims. May or may not tell us anything useful. Secondly we have the AGM -14th September. May get a trading statement with that but will certainly give an opportunity to assess directors' confidence levels. I just hope MM will be there. I've assembled a pretty long list of questions to ask. Cheers, Mark | marben100
26/7/2007 12:35 | wbj,good morning,o/t got timing right for once buying 20k @ 60.5p.MPH should come good.Holders well trained in the art of patience.Divi September.regards lex;o) edit:Viewing general market MPH holding up very well.Bottom called @ 150p.aimvho.dyor. | lex1000
26/7/2007 11:57 | o/t CCT dipped twice down to 150p and co-incidentally MPH following that trend.Pretty obvious given news mms drop share price on selling.Opportunity to buy same price recent director buying @ 153p.Double bottom anybody? | lex1000
26/7/2007 10:33 | Sensei10 - 26 Jul'07 - 07:53 - 1872 of 1876 All I said is that did not know how to take news:MPH losing another FD.Do not know reasons behind FD resignation.Markets usually view negatively causing some peeps to sell.Wait on November results to see how MPH trading post YSL unless company issue a trading update before then.MPH do appear cheap at these levels providing buying opportunity. Long term see MPH trading much higher than this. MM increased his holdings this time last year and has done so again in 2007 @ 153p.Take this as a very positive sign.btw 11 months ago FD increased holdings by 100K to take him to 400k shares. | lex1000
26/7/2007 10:12 | LB - Cheers! | kneath
26/7/2007 09:37 | Kneath Some people will always see negatives, while others may see positives. If it was that negative a relationship, in either direction, believe you me he wouldn't still be working there - for whatever reason. One thought is that he may be making way for someone from a large aquisition, as part of some directoreal horse-trading which may be required as part of the negotiated terms and conditions. Also, if I remember correctly (which I may not), John Harrison originally got the FD job by default when the previous FD left. It's quite possible that he never really wanted or was happy/comfortable with the job in the first place. In any case the fact that's he's still effectively in the office and doing the job says all I need to know. Recent director share purchases may tend to support a more positive view as well. | lord buffett |
