If so, then no doubt subscribers will be delighted that he did not lose too much although those that bought on the back of his ramp sorry buy might feel somewhat miffed.

Naked Trader had 4,000 shares, that amount went through at 08:03:34 for 88p.

I would have beaten him but as I could not sell online the phone call took a little longer.

Yet another UK company coming a cropper in the USA.

A few buys now going through on PLUS, probably chancers going for the trading bounce that such a large drop on opening usually (but not always) produces.

No doubt nakedtrader will say he decided to sell up on Friday after all.

the nakedtrader punted on these last week at about a quid. Very rare for him to get caught.

60 would be the equivalent of the 12p they originally fell to before the 1:5 issue.

Morris has misled shareholders, no question. The AGM statement gave no indication of today's FY profits warning, and it's inconceiveable that the Board were not aware of the likely shortfall in September. The FD's departure probably relates to some issue over the extent of the disclosure - why would Harrison want his reputation tarnished by a Chairman playing fast and loose?

It's very unlikley that MPH will make up the profits black hole in the second half, which means a second warning is imminent. The US, inparticular, has been a disaster, and the restructuring announced today is probably a precursor to the sale or closure of it.

In summary, poor results, deceitfully packaged and disclosed, from a board led by an inflated ego.

momentos,

No need to apologise. We each have to make our own judgements. I don't think "transparency" was ever one of MM's strong points :0).

I can live without transparency. Honesty is a different matter.

Mark

I'm out for a heavy loss and feeling pretty bruised. Earnings not even close to forecasts unless second half is going to be miraculous, which I doubt considering things are a bit "slow". Good luck to holders.

deuce

fair comment the balance net of deferred tax has gone into goodwill, but it looks as though profit and projected profits have fallen off a cliff if they have had to adjust customer goodwill by 75%.

Low 60s would be a tempting to get in at.

difficult to see this bouncing back quickly - chart suggests a test of the low 60's - no position, hope no one is burnt too badly

Well, on sudying more closely, there are actually a couple of positives in there:

1. "Strong forward order book showing 60% increase"

(but not too clear what that increase is based on ;0)) and

2. "While we expect to achieve a much stronger performance in the second half, we expect that the results for the year as a whole will be slightly lower than anticipated." [my bold]

Well, if that's true, then perhaps I was too critical of MM's earlier statements. If the finals really show a reported EPS of SLIGHTLY lower than the forecast of 19.8p, then a) I will have to change my current view of the trustworthiness of the MM and the board; and b) I will be holding out for a much, much higher share price to sell the balance of my holding at :0).

Regards,

Mark

The adjustment of just over 2 million was all that they took through to "profit" last year hence it's all that they have reversed out
