15/11/2007 09:11 | I suppose with a supposed 600k and a determined mind you could happily seed any fall for ages. Fear and greed and all that. Gotta run out sometime though... | momentos

15/11/2007 09:05 | Can hear the groans from here.... Plus: 15/11/2007 08:40:27 100.12 1,478 O 1,479.85 15/11/2007 08:07:38 99.20 4,000 O 3,968.00 15/11/2007 08:01:14 100.20 20,000 O 20,040.00 Not sure if that 20k is a buy. Cantors still around? | momentos
15/11/2007 07:12 | wbj is a (very) long term poster here so I tend to believe his info is likely to be correct. Presumably though you heard this info from somewhere but do not wish to reveal the source? It is not purely supposition? Dont worry, this cannot be classed as insider info - when someone unconnected to the co. decides to buy or sell shares and who they tell is their business. | momentos
15/11/2007 00:26 | Well, if someone wants to sell off his holding at any price then I must say thank you for giving me the chance to pick up his rejects at less than half of the real value. | ![]() dan de lion

14/11/2007 22:23 | mikeelkin Probable rather than definite, but what else can it be "cause and effect" the timing points to the preliminary results and the only negative in there was the bonus and fair value adjustment. More likely several holders of under 3% offloaded and combined caused the drop, lets hope they have finished now and move forward tomorrow, good luck..............wb | wbjunior
14/11/2007 21:42 | Hi everybody I do not often post here but I follow the board and have been a holder since summer 2005. wbj you say you believe it to be someone offloading 600 000 shares - does that mean you in effect know that to be the case or is it probable rather than definite? If it is do we at last have the explanation behind the relentless slide in the share price since June - would selling 600k shares over four months result in the near halving of the price we have seen? Can't have had that much impact ...or could it? Does anyone know? Mike | ![]() mikeelkin

14/11/2007 17:49 | For what it's worth chaps I believe it a holder of around 600,000 who objected strongly to the bonuses paid and gave instructions to offload immediately after the Preliminary results were issued, and I can quite see where he is coming from. Hopefully mm has learnt a costly mistake and has learnt a valuable lesson. Lets all hope we continue forward from the start made today............... Ps Any more big bonuses and I'm moving on too. | wbjunior
14/11/2007 16:53 | Unless they dont have to... Rathbones, for example, got to 7% with no RNS as they are a unit trust. Why a unit trust should be different, say, from a fund holding pension monies for lots of individuals I don't know. But they don't have to disclose in the same way. (Although their holding is listed in the Annual report(s)) | momentos
14/11/2007 16:44 | The big boys are normally quite good at notifying buys and sells, so I reckon it is unlikely to be on of the institutions. | ![]() dan de lion
14/11/2007 16:32 | SO 0.75% of the company bought today (200k shares) and we still haven't cleared bleedin' Cantor. The only reasons I can think of for a lack of RNS are: 1. Started at less than 3% 2. Its a Unit Trust (eg Rathbones) - dont have to 3. Trading not complete (does this argument hold for such a long period?) Probably see a large trade later today / this week. | momentos
14/11/2007 16:23 | Someone ring Cantors posing as a MM and see how many they want to sell all in..... | momentos
14/11/2007 16:19 | As suspected.... "It's hard to know what to make of the recent decline of Marchpole. (MPH). Made some big sums on this one earlier this year and last. There's been no bad news as such yet the shares have bombed as if there'd been 3 profits warnings. With a statement due next week I've decided to have a bit of a gamble and bought a small amount of 4,000 shares at 98p (yesterday). Really even if the statement has some bad news, it might already be in the price. There's been a consistent big seller pushing down the price. And Cantor Fitzgerald have been on the sell side of level 2 for quite a while. And they are still around which is why it's a gamble. If results are in line, the shares should be up in the 130p area at least. It's a gamble too I suppose because you do wonder why the big seller has been selling. But it seems to be a decent gamble for a small amount and we'll see on Monday. Target 130 stop loss 90. I'll get out fast if the statement is a stinker!" Good to see Mr NT remains a follower of this board! A fair enough summary. | momentos
14/11/2007 16:11 | Hi there. Not contributed to this bulletin board before but I have been watching the discussions as I have some money in MPH. Have any of you noticed that Naked Trader bought some yesterday? | yankel1

14/11/2007 16:01 | why all the buys at 101.12, now 10k at 101 on plus, surely they could push the price up with no selling going on?? | wbjunior
14/11/2007 15:54 | Are CFEP still there? Unless I missed a sell on plus (cant see more than last 5) we have 134k buys there, 50k LSE total 184k vs 5750 sells. Get the feeling the unclothed one may have bought, the PM buys being the followers. | momentos |
