Just been having a look at the profile of 'ryelodge'. He joined 18 years ago, but how about this coincidence, within 25 days of another poster on here. Can anyone guess who that might be? You'll never guess! And another amazing thing - he has only ever posted 56 times in 18 years, about 3 per year, and guess what, all these 56 posts are discussions that Meanwhile has either prompted or is first to respond to. Amazing coincidences!

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I read the GKN plant closure as evidence that MRO have empowered GKN (and other subsidiaries) management teams to take difficult decisions in pursuit of improving the health and profitability of the businesses. MRO have said categorically that it was not their decision but was the outcome of devolved authority within GKN.

Whilst feeling sympathy towards those whose jobs are affected, this seems to me to be clear evidence that local management are being allowed to do whatever it takes.

That is a good thing for the business overall and for sareholders.

Another miserable day in Wales. Sheep poo all around. Spent a miserable morning moaning about Melrose again. Thought about doing something fun today but decided against it. Prefer moaning basically. Posted yet more negative stuff again this afternoon. Wonderful. One of my happier days this year.

Another great day on the river bank. Water flowing, roast beef for lunch, roast beef again tonight probably, can't get enough of it. Sun shining, Gin and tonic, Melrose closing plant, laying off people, boosting eps and share price, increasing future director bonus. Wife out. Raised beds progressing. Wonderful. Plymouth improving. All's right with the world of brexit.

Meanwhile, remember to do a response from Ryelodge to Meanwhile this time, or people might realise you are both the same person, and they might then think you're a bit weird. It would seem like you're going a bit crazy wouldn't it? No need to thank me!

Yertiz

That was a big win for Glaws. I'm even happier than I was. 55 points and 11 ahead of Sale in 5th.

Great idea, ryelodge.
An alternative would be to put it towards a special dividend, or the next regular dividend, to partly make up the loss those who invested at those prices have suffered.

Meanwhile, LTIPs aren't a lottery at all. I've spent a lot of my time over the last few months engineering mine so that I get the maximum possible. It's quite hard work you know. Will be picking it up in June. Where's the lottery in that??

Here's a suggestion. You may have done it already. Calculate the average MRO Share price since the strike date that resulted in the £42 million award to each Director last year. Compare the resulting average sharePrice with the 232p the award was based on, and use the company's LTIP formula to recalculate the LTIP Bonus award using the average of the past months. As you will see the total entitlement is tens of millions lower -- justfor the sake of a few months. The LTIP plan is obviously a lottery, and so that all stakeholders can then share the gravy, the MRO Directors might consider organising a stakeholders raffle for this difference in the total amount payable and someone else could be off to the Caymans.

Losos

The beehive is a compost bin, ala Geoff Hamilton.

I have a local supply of well rotted horse manure.

Mrs B+ wants me to paint the table and planters.

I hope so B+, fingers worked to the bone on his warrior keyboard, blood spraying everywhere. But I’ve filtered the idiot and his dear friend Meanwhile in his cotton wool world too.

B+ I will have look at the photos, I wouldn't be worried about comments from others. It's your project and you're the one who matters, like you say one has to have interests outside of this forum. Those who do nowt but bash away on here are just sad haha.

Our BT exchange is visible from my window, I've had occassion to talk to the guys there, the answer is always "Not me guv" haha. There is a constant procession of BT/Openreach/contractors vans outside almost everyday, service doesn't get any better 'tho haha.

Edit:-
Nice work B+ is photo No. 2 a beehive ? I like the use of the wood preserver, I use a similar type and colour also. You might need to feed whatever you plant (in the raised beds) a little more often but on the other hand you should not have any problems with soil borne pests or diseases so worth all your effort I would say.

Hi Losos

I’ve posted my rustic carpentry efforts in my photos. Four raised beds, one fossil table, two planters and a beehive shaped compost bin. I need to make a second similar compost bin.

Early potatoes are in, cucumber and courgettes seeds potted, and the purple sprouting to finish eating.

I’m sure the gruesome twosome will criticise my efforts, but better than sitting in a room posting rubbish all day.

What a bunch of ignorant clowns we have on this site, fortunately with a few exceptions.
Totally lacking in any original and logical thought.

One definition of an imbecile is "capable of doing simple tasks under supervision".
That just about captures it.

"they deserve every penny"

I have a strange feeling many will not agree with your ignorant view, especially those who now face months without income.

We know why Yertiz was a sailor. Not much upstairs I'm afraid. No other choice as nobody else saw value in him. You don't need much IQ to scrub the deck. LOL
