LOL

I have founded a company and had to deal with thousands of employees, shareholders, suppliers, customers, press etc.. A few chimps on ADVFN will not shift my blood pressure either way.

LOL

Melrose have been a sound investment for me for 10 years. Fantastic returns, no issue for me for the substantial pay awards for the directors, they deserve every penny. I can just see Minnie the mouse going through 10 shades of apoplexy now, hahaha.

Topvest, absolutely right, next 3 years are going to be great as the market starts to see the progress they're making and start to re-rate the business.

"What shallow, meaningless lives some people have."
Says the chimp who spends most of his waking hours posting garbage non-stop on multiple ADVFN boards, most of which he hasn't even got an investment in!

Melrose will turnaround the failing GKN, that's a high likelihood. The Board of Melrose know a thing or two about improving businesses and are paid accordingly. At least they are rewarded for success, rather than failure!

He only robbed 27% of the bank, most get away with about 60%.

"7.5% a lot less than the 20% in private equity deals."

Do you apply that same principle to bank robbers?

ROFLMAO!

Chimps.

Well the ignorant can continue to be ignorant if they wish, that is their choice I guess. I would be careful though. Those who find themselves having to deal with real issues in life - like finding the next meal for their families - are quickly tiring of old, ignorant fools like we have on this thread. Crony capitalism in this country will have to start controlling itself or we will end-up with a Corbyn government. You have been warned. He will certainly not make life that easy for you turnips who have obviously had it too easy.

All these activities: watching sport, walking, eating out..... Never a mention of art, music, classic literature, history, architecture etc.. etc.. What shallow, meaningless lives some people have. I'm glad I've seen the light. I would top myself if sport and booze is the only thing that pleased me.

Have a great time.

7.5% a lot less than the 20% in private equity deals. Agreed. Quite happy.

After years of 800k Mbps download and 250k Mbps Broadband with BT, A TRULY AWFUL COMPANY, regular rebooting and total loss of service at least 3 times a year, yesterday we changed to 4G with Three. Today 20 Mbps download and 8 Mbps upload.

Because of where we live this is the first time me have been able to change. Amazing.

And it will take only seconds for me to upload my rustic carpentry projects for Losos. Bet the gruesome twosome can’t wait.

B+, absolutely right. We're off to the Canaries next week for some sun, lots of walking, and ten nights out in a row. The Masters starts next Thursday in Augusta - my favourite sporting event of the year by some distance. Too much to pack in to be sitting around moaning and griping all day, especially when 92.5% of all the gain in value has gone to the shareholders! I'm more than happy with them getting 7.5% personally.

‘Not quite’ that amount on fillet steak, although we have it when we want it. Actually we have quite a balanced diet with meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian pasta dishes.

I agree about the moaning. Life is too short. My experience of people continually moaning is that they are fed up with life and just waiting to ‘pop their clogs’. Mail and Express readers. It’s so draining, hence the ‘gruesome twosome’ being filtered.

I regularly read that ‘HAPPINESS IS A PERSONAL CHOICE.’ I have chosen to be happy.

yertiz,

Maybe I don't have any shares in Melrose. Maybe I have 200,000 +.

In any case, I'm not addressing you and the other clueless posters on here. You're a lost cause; your minds are stagnant. You wouldn't react if a bomb went off behind you.

I'm addressing others, those with a brain that still functions.

"Big news - GKN lose 170 jobs. Not news - Rolls Royce get rid of 4000 staff."

Different objectives, different motives, different business models.

Only an ignorant old fart like Brexit would make such a comparison and he does. LOL

Stick to walks and pub meals old boy.

Hi Yertiz

Good win by Exeter - pity Argyle lost.

I see Persimmon’s house are structurally unsound. Bloke locally had a wall built by unqualified Eastern European labour. First strong wind and it blew over. Mortar had much too much sand. Didn’t the Persimmon boss get £100 million?

Big news - GKN lose 170 jobs. Not news - Rolls Royce get rid of 4000 staff.

Glad I filtered both of the non-entities.

Filter the idiot. I strongly doubt he has any shares in Melrose, much like his bestie on here. The one who invests in house builders even though one has paid its CEO £100m in bonuses and others whose build quality matches the company ethos ‘build ‘em cheap, sell ‘em strong’ LOL

"On Friday, Melrose said it was not responsible for the factory closure, because the decision was made entirely by GKN Aerospace management.
It also pointed to a planned investment of more than £12 Million in sites in Luton and Portsmouth."

Wow. £12 Million. A bit less than £42M.
