Your view is in my opinion correct. The sale of GKN Wheels was in the news ages ago. By Nortek the journalist could mean Ergotron which is part of Nortek, and this again was announced last year when the CEO, I believe, retired on health grounds.

My best guess is that the journalist needed to write something and cobbled together this small piece.

In June editorial said

“Bankers also expect Melrose to sell other GKN‎ businesses such as Off-Highway Powertrains and a unit which manufactures wheels, although a spokesman said there were no plans for such disposals at this time.”

One shouldn't make assumptions when it comes to investing, RL. Who said MRO briefed the ST? It may have been a journalist who put it all together and the the Profit figure is stated as a broker's guess and the Nortek story could be considered very old news.

Everybody makes assumptions about everyone else on this board...

Spoke to my mate. He goes to about 200 matches a year. Anything and anywhere. In his last 3.5 matches (0.5 was match abandoned at half time} there have been NO goals.

Tight game at Sale and looks reasonably even at Sunderland.

My football team, Tonbridge Angels, got a 0-0 draw against Enfield who are higher up the table. A mate went so I will get a report!!!

Yertiz, it was a close game. Brissol aren’t too bad at home. I think Exeter only just beat them last November. 31-29 if I remember correctly. Two Glos yellow cards and some loose play did for us.

Lady wife getting over a bad cold so a trip into Cheltenham for lunch then batten down the hatches. I’ve loads to do. Neighbour likes my new raised beds and wants me to make some for her - will pay!!!
