20/6/2019 10:02 | Interims are on July 23rd. | aleman
20/6/2019 09:55 | Thanks @Ashton01. Have high hopes for MCLS (MRW t/o eventually I hope). | spectoacc
20/6/2019 09:44 | July sometime I believe. That will also be when we find out if they will trial the Morrisons stores in any other mccolls shops. | ashton01
20/6/2019 09:18 | Drifting down on little volume - when's the next news? | spectoacc
06/6/2019 21:44 | Thanks for the dividend McColls. It's been a great little share this, holding steady as a rock waiting for the inevitable upside that more good Morrison's news will bring. Holding for 150p | lukehold
30/5/2019 19:43 | Just noise to me. Yesterday it closed on a high ask so created an artificial rise and today it just came back in range so exaggerated the move back down. Volume been for a while now | davr0s
30/5/2019 19:30 | Odd drop on low volume.. any ideas | lukehold
29/5/2019 16:22 | Today's rise is interesting on a very bad day for the market. Could it be connected to the Kantar supermarkets' market share research that has been published today? | aleman
20/5/2019 20:42 | Volume up today.. | lukehold
14/5/2019 11:30 | ADVFN not yet showing what could be a significant rise today. Mid is up 3% to 85.1p which could see daylight between the current price and 200-day if it holds, just as the shares are considering a lovely gap up to 120p+. There were loads of 83p sellers in the middle of last week but they have dried up and MMs have had to lift the offer on feeble volume. Things could get interesting if somebody gives it a nudge. | aleman
11/5/2019 14:39 | Fair point. Tho knowing the IC, it'll probably be a buy tip next week.. | spectoacc
10/5/2019 19:12 | ..if the IC were uber-positive...I'd be concerned... | thefartingcommie
10/5/2019 15:20 | A fairly large write-up on MCLS towards the back of today's IC, concluding it's operationally geared but that there's a lot in the price already. Whilst entirely failing to mention the early Morrisons rebranding successes. | spectoacc
09/5/2019 07:40 | Looking very encouraging :-) | cheshire man
09/5/2019 07:36 | I'm liking the continued references to Mccoll's in Morrisons updates, it's clearly significant to them. | lukehold
09/5/2019 07:07 | Our wholesale business continued to make good progress. The first McColl's conversions to Morrisons Daily, and MPK conversions to both Morrisons Daily and Safeway Daily have started well, with strong sales increases. | thefartingcommie
08/5/2019 08:04 | Is it going to sit until we get news? | aleman
03/5/2019 19:50 | @loganair - seen it a lot with share options recently. A co is on its knees and the executives basically award themselves free options at the really low price. Goes lower/goes bust, they can walk away. Mean reverts, and they're quids in. I expect to be out of MCLS well before the directors cash in, but still.. | spectoacc
03/5/2019 18:33 | I am against the directors incentive plans as base on last years EPS which were the low for McColl's..to increase the earnings per share by the end of 2021 by just 50% from last years low. I would like to have seen a minimum increase of 100%, as coming from such a low point is easily achievable by any competent and good management. It always baffles me, why do highly paid directors need such huge incentive plans to just do their jobs when the average employee just gets their every day monthly salary. | loganair
02/5/2019 08:57 | Peel Hunt reiterates BUY and ups tgt to £1 from 80p | wynmck
30/4/2019 18:48 | It seems to me, closing 40% of their newsagents over the past 4 years is not slowly and McColl's continues to close them when the leases run out and come up for renewal. | loganair
30/4/2019 17:42 | Don't forget they were slowly rolling out the "refresh" programme that was lifting turnover by over 5% at each store - all very slow, though. Slow Morrisons rebrand, slow newsagents closures, slow refresh and slow recovery from P&H going bust. (Remember that LfLs stopped falling in the last reported quarter.) It all should add up to slightly better margins, though. EBITDA is expected to rise nearly 10%. The shares will likely double if that continues for a second year as that should see debt/EBITDA down to around 2 and a possible rise in the dividend again. | aleman |
