09/5/2022 11:35 | I'm pleased Morrisons have won the battle..a much better fit for the future of the business and its employee base. The pre-pack is a shame for shareholders but hopefully the ones that got in at the pennies level won't have lost too much. Anyway, time to move on. | flc
09/5/2022 11:21 | Looks like we coming back live soon.Asda and Morrison bid war going on.we all be rewarded.Great news | 36jay

09/5/2022 10:56 | What I understand if Morrison's are the buyers of McColl's they are likely to close or sell the leases of around 300 stores to bring the number down to around 800 stores. | loganair
09/5/2022 10:32 | Looks like admin and ZERO coming to shareholders.Where is Global today?Or is he using a different account. | apfindley
09/5/2022 10:27 | All of McColls shops are leased;presently it has around £160m liabilities under contracted leases(based on figures given in accounts adjusted to May 2022).It will be interesting to see if Morrisons have taken over these liabilities because it makes it very difficult to close stores as not only is it liable for rent on closed stores for the period of the lease but also rates insurance & maintaining properties. | 1tx
09/5/2022 10:14 | Jobs kept but at what cost I can see a massive property sell off especially sub 1500sq stores and all newsagents, not to mention job T&Cs changing and lower contracts. Morrisons standard contracts are 16hr as sales and 20hr as supervisors. But in the short term ALL are safe which is good news but the tide will turn and see all unwanted smaller stores sold off probably to developers | shanejay74
09/5/2022 10:10 | Shareholders LOST EVERYTHING PMSL | mrblueface
09/5/2022 10:08 | It says they will buy them immediately after being declared insolvent- if that's not clear enough for some it means shorters won't burn, the shares will not come out of suspension and the shares are worth zero. But the good news is that workers are likely to keep their jobs | supercity
09/5/2022 10:08 | Has any1 else noticed that MrBlueface is an anagram of his favourite radio station... Arce Lube FM. PMSL, ROFLMFAO. | irpy
