Looks like the company is doing exactly what is should. New channels to market, new technologies, major new retail accounts. Makes you wonder why the management are not singing from the rooftops! In fact, they appear to be doing the opposite with poor communication to shareholders, underplaying the significance of the new developments, talking down the commercial prospects, etc. I wonder why. I'm sure things will become clearer when the SR is completed and perhaps we get a chance to find out who the mysterious potential bidders are! This business has a lot more value and potential than the share price indicates.

I am beginning to feel that the 7th Oct trading update didn't quite give us the whole story.

I can't imagine why management are entertaining any potential offer for this company.

Yet another development that should really merit an RNS (RNSNON at least).

together with the sainsbury online venture it makes me wonder what TA/PC think is happening to the rest of the business to warrant the negative tenor to the RNS's we get from the company.

I have ordered Toy Story 3 from both Sainsburys Online and Bee.com as £8.99 is a terrific price and they are great Xmas presents for friends and family. The price compares superbly with Play.com who have it at £13.99 and HMV who are at £12.99. Zavvi which is run by the Hut have it at £13.95 and even Sainsbury in store is £9.99. Looks like SainsburyOnline and Bee.com are going to bee busy bees....LOL

MBL launches new on-line retailer bee.com:-

Gian Luzio returns with Bee.com

Distributor MBL Group has launched its new online retailer, Bee.com.

The new venture is set up by former Play.com, The Hut and Green Man Gaming exec, Gian Luzio.

The web outlet offers free, next day delivery and free returns, and stocks an extensive range of DVDs, games and CDs. A series of launch offers is being run, which includes Call of Duty: Black Ops for £36.99 and Toy Story 3 on DVD for £8.99.

The own-brand store opens just days after MBL Group unveiled its new Sainsbury's website.

"We are offering next day free delivery and free returns on all DVDs, games and CDs and have some exciting launch offers," commented Bee.com MD Gian Luzio.

"Our competitors offer same day dispatch – but customers are waiting three days or more to receive their items and this is unacceptable. We will dispatch bee.com orders from our Preston warehouse to ensure customers receive their entertainment on the following day."

Bee.com is being run by a commerical team in Cambridge.

Count me in please David for the GMV presentation, and the meal would be nice too if I could get away before the last Cambridge train.

I keep dithering about this one have been been in and out 3 times I really cant make my mind up, currently in - knowing more about the plans for the future might help me stay in.

Not sure about the meal - I might be able to stay if it is an earlish meal.

There is nothing that I have found that is definite other than that it will be on the entertainment part of the site which is of course operated by MBL.

Timesmoney.....you are clearly a wind up ! Trevor Allan would not be able to comment on anything due to the strategy review and takeover code ruling or at least not on the questions that we would want to ask. So he certainly will not be there. I did point out at a very early stage the reason for this presentation and it is all about understanding the parts of MBL which only Matt Porter can tell us about anyway.

meict....you will be impressed with the selection on offer at Brewins.

Kimboy2...Do we know if GMV are defo involved in the project ? I suspect they are but another large supermarket chain was rumoured to be doing exactly the same so wondering if this is GMV too.

I am expecting about 25 so How many fancy a meal afterwards on the 26th too ?

Bet Trevor Allan won't show.
Why have a presentation on one element of a business that still has the profits warning elephant still in the room.

Very good news guys...positive moves from MBL again on communication. They have given me two dates for Matt Porter to do a presentation for shareholders on the GMV business, deal with U-Xplore and no doubt the potential white label deals as we have just seen with Sainsbury. The KPMG advisor will also be in attendance due to the takeover panel rules and as the meeting will be at the Brewin HQ in Smithfield I suspect they will have a rep from the broker there too. The date is Friday 26th November at 4.30pm to allow those who are working nearby to attend easily too.

Do state here that you can come and I will create a running list..
