13/10/2010 22:38 | Just finished watching the Apprentice with a few of my kids...In the boardroom tomorrow morning as far as I know will be Trevor Allan and Peter Cowgill plus Matthew Porter from GMV. There will be a rep from Brewins as Nomad/Brokers and KPMG I suspect to ensure everything that is said keeps within the Takeover Panel Code. Anyway there should be plenty we can ask and seek answers for and if anyone not on the conference call(and there will be nearly forty of us!) has a question then do place it here and we shall try to ask it for you. | ![]() davidosh

13/10/2010 16:18 | Assuming all the trades marked 87p are in fact buys, then, only about 16k sells net on AIM. 9% drop seems a bit harsh on that basis. | ![]() edmundshaw
13/10/2010 16:13 | It´s ironic really that all those who were adding to their positions after the bad news last week were in fact only bidding the stock up against themselves. As soon as they were all done we see more selling pressure or if you prefer no appetite from the buyers. This is such a tightly held stock with limited liquidity that moves are more pronounced. I was lucky to sell some at a tad over 150 when they announced the phantom "review", in fact I only sold my top-up position bought after the previous dive to 1,115 and still holding my core position. Anyhoo, bought some more this afternoon at 87p. Unless there really is some dark unrevealed secrets then I really do think we are near the bottom. Famous last words :-)) | homoerectus
13/10/2010 16:03 | David, are you passing on call details to MUBL investors? I'd like to remove my email address... | ![]() edmundshaw
13/10/2010 14:59 | On the numbers I am not too despondent. The important part is the margin, as that is the most likely to be variable, and I think the TS suggests it is holding up. The gross margin for H1/10 was 10.4% and for H2/10 11.5%. Thus when they say that profitability was behind forecast they mean that the H2/10 hasn't been maintained but that it was ahead of H1/10, otherwise they would have said it had fallen. They then say; As announced on 5 October 2010, the Board is currently undertaking a strategic review and is also taking positive steps to address this anticipated fall in profitability They can then say that profitability has fallen, assuming it stays constant with the first half, once they start getting the H2/09 comparables which it why the fall is referred to as 'anticipated'. Personally I can't see H1/11 being much different from last year at the opertaing level. Normally £6m of cash flow for £15.5m would seem a no brainer. I suspect it still is. | ![]() kimboy2
13/10/2010 14:36 | Conlon2...Is that an attempt to defame my character ? Either expand on that comment or provide the name of your solicitor or be very careful. I can accept banter or personal views on investments but that is neither. I am working hard to help others but your agenda is far from clear. | ![]() davidosh
13/10/2010 14:32 | Hi David - I may have time to call in too, if you could please provide the details. Many thanks indeed for arranging this, despite all the knockbacks! SM | ![]() strollingmolby

13/10/2010 14:21 | David, I'd like to have details too, though only available for the first half hour or so. cheers ES | ![]() edmundshaw
13/10/2010 13:58 | The conference call for shareholders has been confirmed for 9am tomorrow morning and I have sent out details to all those known to me as holders and who have attended previous meetings for MUBL. Do email me if somehow I have missed you. The takeover panel and advisors are monitoring the call so they are being very strict on the lines of questioning and no doubt there will be a lengthy introduction advising what will be permitted. The timeslot available is two hours so the directors are certainly not expecting it to be a quick conference call and do not be afraid to ask questions exactly as you have been putting them on here. This is your opportunity. | ![]() davidosh
13/10/2010 13:46 | bbw, even if you assumed a scenario of eps dropping by 10% a year (!), then if they distributed 50% as a dividend, the NPV of the cash would exceed the current share price. And if TA's salary + bonus was cut to normal levels of a firm this size, it would be far higher ! The last thing we need is for large shareholders to start playing games. | ![]() fft
13/10/2010 13:36 | Why would a 10% plus holder even consider selling in 10k lots if that were their intention. They would get a far better return by acting like an owner and saying to management to stop taking huge bonus payments out and start running this business as a cash cow for all holders or sell it to achieve a return far higher than 90p per share. | ![]() davidosh
13/10/2010 13:03 | because if they think the business model is finished ( as I do ) then selling 10k at this price is better than selling 10k later on some people here just don't get it.... the market is looking ahead and don't like what it sees | burgerbarwomen
13/10/2010 12:53 | curious. why would GPM sell 10k when they have over 10.5% !! It looks bad, but they cant possibly hope to sell all of there holding like that :-) | ![]() fft
12/10/2010 00:03 | JonC My post is to do with CR's after the event 'smartness' - what's it got to do with analysis ? btw you'll notice with Blinkx if you bother, that whatever happens I won't be coming back saying how clever I was if I turn out to be right. In fact, whether right about a stock that turns out well or badly, I've never gone back and gloated or done a 'told you so'. That really is for those who cannot get satisfaction in any other way. So there, nah ni nah na. | ![]() yump |
