Should have known jubberjim would be invested in this hopeless shat. Unbelievable management didn’t dump this at about a quid when they had the chance, hopefully Royal Mail won’t make the same mistake, need to grab these offers, U.K. shares known in the city as “ the bug zapper trade “ 😂😂

#7296,

The thing that stands out there is that MAB and JDW are both pure retailers (they manage their own pubs directly, have no tenanted estate and don't brew themselves) whilst Greene King, Stonegate and Marstons all have substantial tenanted estates.

Two steps forward MAB and JDW

One step back Greene King (Stonegate-Refinancing)?

Bit of a quandry but will stick with the programme

Not much cheer with the weather this bank holiday weekend

This should start to push up during the Euro's as long as England can progress to the Final.....as that should keep the pubs full....during that 4 week period....

PS: Don't think the residents of Harborne would welcome a Wetherspoons - but they are happy with a Marstons !

Indeed, those were the good old days - didn't need a pee until after my third pint - now need one after three sips :-( I still sometimes frequent a Marstons pub - The New Inn in Brum - the best value of the several bars along Harborne High Street.

Pedigree and 6X next to each other - sounds dangerous.

Well, the bar was usually full of Seamen (that is the correct spelling:-) and Dockers - with the barmaids going topless one evening a week. T'was the best bar I have ever frequented - The Southerner in Southampton - long ago demolished and now with a shopping mall built over the site. The 6X hand pump was next to the Pedigree - I thought the 6X there was Marstons as well, but my memory could be deceiving me.

Just imagine you're in a different time zone:-)I'm so old that I remember drinking Marstons 6X in the 1970's. Best to leave the dregs with the bits at the very bottom of the glass (unless you needed a cure for constipation).
