To be honest Bumpa the whole aim market is the Wild West full of smoke and mirrors and the main indexes aren’t much better so don’t get to deep just trade what I think is a good story and a cheap valuation worked extremely well for me over the years I’m more psychology based than belief based maybe the past had a bearing on that.

123Trev - Akers took an interest here but he’s not much cop in my view, then we had Luke Johnson, who is - but has been passive, and maybe that was his intention, he still holds. now we have this Chris Kenning who isn’t an investor by nature afaics. His Stubben Edge Capital I think holds the key. He is growing the Stubben group at some pace…

Kavanagh that was the guy he mentioned a stock and it seemed to rocket Bumpa always made me money for a while but I agree lost a lot of folks their hard earned.

tomboy the company still trades today Batman advanced communications but after the bust it got involved in supermarkets lol. I think a while back it raised some capital and is back in technology space.

Ha, Infobank was one of mine - trebled my money, only to watch it go over 40 quid - before crashing to earth… Or BIRD, formerly Forbidden Tech - the frenzy on that IPO was astonishing, but then there were loads of crazy situations - all those internet incubators that shone, only to later crash too.

mm’s shut down buying on moving the offer out and the spread wide. They are short of available stock…

Definitely but there was a specific guy that really moved stocks in a big way for a time and I can’t remember his name but what a crazy time that was. I can remember feeling sick when I bought BVC for 2p I think and sold it for 12p and I think it got to £44 I’m sure even today I think that wasn’t real I made it up.

Killik played fast and loose during the dotcom frenzy - and lost a lot of people a heck of a lot of money. Remember it well.

They went very quiet for the next decade…!

Think I sold to early here but a good profit is not to be sniffed at. Duralacher what a blast from the past and a valuable lesson on analysts and valuations anybody remember that guy from Killic&co probably spelt that wrong but he certainly moved stocks at the time but I hope this keeps going up gl.

gepetto - I was thinking more of the incredible rise of Durlacher in the internet boom as it functioned as a boutique finance house for a slew of dotcom companies. Inevitably when the bubble burst it suffered in tandem until like you say it was swallowed up at a fraction of the price at its height. But boy did it’s star burn bright for a few years…!

What happened with Durlacher ?

I think it hit £2bn m cap at one point 😆

Durlacher, whose market capitalisation touched £2bn at the height of the technology boom.

Bumpa - the only problem with that was a reverse takeover of Durlacher and reformed as Panmure Gordon & Co. plc part of Lazards. Hmmmmm
