02/5/2006 09:53 | Given the 15000 trade at 27.32, it suggests there's plenty willing to take on the stock. The 153236 trade could be a delayed buy (delayed by a few days) which might have been reponsible for some of the recent rise? Or would that have been itemised as a "D"? | ![]() the drewster
02/5/2006 09:43 | Just noticed trade 153,326 @ 27p go through Now that's impatience for you; think OXS will run better and pull MKD thru' MKD 27-29.0p OXS 82-83.0p | ![]() giant steps
01/5/2006 19:04 | otd - i think having a partner on board for Khandiza (other than Uz government) reduces project risk and is a good thing. I can see OXS shares having a good run in the short term, buoyed by EUG and MKD. | ![]() giant steps
01/5/2006 18:52 | I donĀ“t know what to think of the Korean story. Is this going to be good or bad. Having an large rich partner is good I guess, but having a government preferring an other (more paying?) partner could turn into a (jerooy-like) drama. Time will tell.. Any opinions? otd P.S. Homepage of Kores (no news on uzbekistan as far as I could see): | otd
01/5/2006 18:40 | 0238jr - i imagine an MKD position will be swapped with an OXS position, once formal offer is made. I'm hearing that 2nd conversion tranche has not been closed, and 3 for 1 offer is still on the table. Almost appears as if MKD have acquired enough and there is less urgency to clear up. zaphod99 - thanks for recent on OXS thread; certainly helps to clarify the confused message re Citywire article. | ![]() giant steps
01/5/2006 09:14 | does anyone know what will happen to spread bets, cfds etc if oxs does buy the entire shareholding? presumably at that point mkd would cease to be listed? | 0238jr
30/4/2006 13:27 | Watch out for the Koreans. They might be wanting to inject capital to develop Khandiza. Maybe thats why Oxus increased their stake in Marakand recently. | ![]() cezary
28/4/2006 21:31 | The last statement from MKD was something like "the licensing committee has been re-convened". So, it does sound like things are up in the air somewhat. It's still irrelevant though ... :) | ![]() mattybuoy
28/4/2006 17:05 | zaphod99 - no | shorttrader
28/4/2006 16:59 | Just a piece of useful or useless information. I have never been a shareholder of MKD but had a shareholding in Oxus for two years which I sold last December. I am looking to reinvest in Oxus when the Jerooy license and other issues like the Marakand, Khandiza Project Joint Venture have been resolved. | shorttrader
28/4/2006 16:53 | Shorttrader - do you also post under the name cracker7? cracker7 - 4 Dec'05 - 17:59 - 1132 of 2124 I heard a rumour over the weekend that the Government of Tajikistan have refused to issue Marakand Minerals with a license for the Akjilga Silver Deposit. Apparently the Government are upset that Marakand announced ownership of the rights to the deposit before it had actually been approved by the Government. Another Jerooy type licensing problem is not going to help Marakand or Oxus. Not very positive, especially since there has been no news on the Joint Venture with the Uzbek Government for the Khandiza Project. | ![]() zaphod99
28/4/2006 16:45 | Cannot find anything on the net to substantiate shorttrades claim. Could be BB mischief to free up some shares - shorttrader it would help if you declared your interest (or lack of) in MKD shares. | ![]() dixi
28/4/2006 16:35 | Matty ...Your right!! | ![]() cezary
28/4/2006 16:30 | Yes well who knows? The fact is, Akjilga is almost completely irrelevant to MKD at the moment. | ![]() mattybuoy
28/4/2006 16:24 | Get ready for Marakand lift off!!! | ![]() cezary
28/4/2006 16:11 | Is that the same Alastair Ralston-Saul that was kicked out of Gulf Minerals for misappropriation of approximately US$30,000 and devised a scheme to receive a secret profit of approximately US$1.5 million on a proposed Company acquisition? | ![]() cezary

28/4/2006 16:00 | Shorttrader....where did u get this news??? | ![]() cezary
28/4/2006 15:49 | Shorttrader -i'm sure you're up to date then on the Khandiza and Turkey stories! LOL ! | ![]() giant steps
28/4/2006 15:37 | I understand that Marakand has not been awarded the license for the Akjilga Silver Deposit in Tajikistan. Apparently the Tajik Government announced a tender for the deposit, and the Tender Committee has awarded the deposit to a company from Kazakastan instead. Dissapointing news! Why has there been no announcement regarding this from either Marakand or Oxus? | shorttrader
28/4/2006 09:03 | I speculate that with Oxus firmly at the reigns it is only a matter of a few weeks/months before we have a string of announcements. Apart from the obvious 'OXS make final offer to MKD shareholders' ... - / Khandiza approval - / Turkey news - / Tajik silver news Will not be surprised to learn that Yakkabag Ridge has already been drilled. After all, if you are sitting on several "Khandiza" like projects, now is the time to get them moving. Really and truly Marakand could end up much bigger than Oxus. Still holding MKD, and on any weakness acquiring. (no advice intended) | ![]() giant steps
27/4/2006 12:02 | Any company worth its salt, would be staying away from Jerooy until the mess with the Kryz gov and Oxus is sorted out. | ![]() cezary
27/4/2006 11:08 | Cezary - we both know MKD is really the jewel in the OXS crown, truly huge implications, hardly surprising OXS want MKD shares back ! As for Jerooy, yes it's messy but not over yet (i see latest comments on OXS thread) | ![]() giant steps |
