Admittedly a couple of past decisions (scale of warrant granting) are questionable, although would wait for the upcoming results before passing further judgement. Appear to have turned a corner such that shareholder returns can continue to be delivered.

After all, the share price is up significantly over the past two years, despite the large number of warrants

As we approach the date last August when the share price started to turn.
It went from 5 to 10p on results day before climbing to 18/19p.

So what should we expect in late August.
PBT was .25m last time.

It depends how they report but I feel a PBT of 1 million may be on the cards.

Whilst that is my hopeful side anything over .50m will do.

I understand they are still growing and whilst some of the business may be on the edge of sub prime its bringing in the cash.
If we do get close to my numbers the shares look seriously undervalued and a move to the 20/30p range looks likely sooner rather than later.

very best

More like 170k last year for the 2 main directors. Not bad for a company that pays no dividend & just started to make a profit. Why can't the directors buy in the market? Don't want to take risks? Maybe we will have more news on the options & warrants already in play soon.

It's not possible to do a good job for 120-150 grand a year anymore? one must be given an enormous incentive as well it seems. Now there is the disconnect. This has now disappeared everywhere except the very top levels of business who insist on performance from the staff below or they are out.

Up yours it says!

Trading update looks OK. Not overly keen on the new PayBreak loans of up to £1,000. Where is the "better" business.

Tiger,

Actions, Profit and Outperformimg market. No other way of measuring senior management. If you are doing worse than your competitors "They" have the better management. None of these things are secret and not fit for the ears and eyes of the great unwashed. Thats just a way of saying we do not want anybody to make us accountable. Human nature, nobody likes to be measured, theres loads of examples about.

Management knows there is no accountability without measurement, they put these schemes in place all the time. They just don't like any that look at them. Look at the accountability taken for misleading, too optimistic chairmans statements in company reports. It's never their fault for getting it wrong or failing to meet expectations!

There is now a huge disconnect between what the top etchelon think they are worth (can get away with) and their true value to the business. I could manage a bank on the upturn cycle if I had a good bank manager.

If they can deliver the above, especially the outperformance bit, then I will praise them for there efforts but we are seemingly a long way from that by share price value.

A great deal of business in the UK sector was brought by Directors.

There is much more to this but its not for a public forum.

Its a strong board and I think the next few lots of numbers will show there is much work going on.

MikeG The ING leasing created a vacuum when it wound down in the UK. Conister will have got some business there.I agree with all you say. Hardly rocket science to take a cut on loans made.

Tiger,

I'm here also in big style but I have no rose tinted glasses on what the directors have achieved her. Though I like what I have seen and read about Mr Kelly.

The business cycle is responsible for the vast majority of the upswing in lending by the bank. They have a couple of extra outlets due to loan companies being starved of credit and it is only a couple.

These are the same people who managed to payout lawyers for due diligence over 500,000 GBP with nothing to show for it. We have a fortune being paid out to non exec's for a couple of board meetings a year. We have a group finance director that has to consolidate a single bank and edgewater, a job any decent management accountant could do. We have great tra-la-la on new services to gambling companies but no follow up on results.. read that as no revenue, because they would bang the drum on how good they have been if they could. We have mention on not a fair share price and how they have a plan for it, followed by a "tip" in the chairman's own tipsters magazine. Some plan!

The have bought one asset in Edgewater and then had to downsize it due to losses, most of which will have been taken against the group. In consequence it has no chance of paying back its cost of purchase for many more years. That would have been capital we need not have borrowed at 7-9 pct interest rates and huge quantities of warrants. Guess who to?

I'm here because I think eventually the bank will make more profit than even these hooray henry's at group level can spend.

Don't get me wrong I like the chance of this share reaching 30-40p but don't ask me to believe in the directors.

Jobs for the boys (still no girls) banking.

Wonder how may would survive in a takeover by somebody who decided to run it like WallMart? It's actually a lot simpler model of business really. Good bank manager, Good group accountant and Good Edgewater manager, thats it.

Now can I have the rest of my fee please?

Looked like £37500 to me. Plus some directors are getting large pay rises before we get a dividend.

It's a bank and touting new software as the reason to report faster.

Not brain surgery, do as major banks do and report interims every three months. Steady news flow, hopefully good, share price has no time to bounce down on no activity.

Now where is my share of a 35000 grand non exec fee because they are not pulling their weight here.

I see it like this
First half last year we made .26 million
Second half we made ....... .81 million

Roll that forward
I expect
First half.................. 1 million
2 nd half....................1.25 million

Giving 2.25 million and over 2p EPS.

That has to imply 20p plus a share.

We are almost half way so by August we will have the numbers.
