30/9/2016 18:55 | Thanks Cougar99 so looks like bankings not just about taking a cut but understanding the terms & conditions. I think with interest rates falling so fast it may have been part of the problem. Maybe Tiger will have more to add. | gears
30/9/2016 17:10 | they've seem to have blamed it on terms that they have with intermediaries concerning early redemption of loans .... therefore if situation continues then that loss will continue .... they are trying to lessen it by considering setting up direct arrangements in uk mainland - that is my take on it ... seems the intermediaries win whatever happens - why am I not surprised .... I had a double glazing quote earlier this year from one national company - the headline price was about 30% cheaper if you took a loan out via them instead of paying cash ... I ended up going with a different national company where it was same price either way as they didn't get involved as the loan intermediary .... the salesman at first company even got a bit aggressive when I said I had no intention of paying a substantial supplement when paying direct ..... so the intermediaries certainly must get a big take in some transactions - bunch of thieving b@#$%@ds .... | cougar99
30/9/2016 10:59 | Are the rising charges one off ? It's an area I don't understand. | gears

25/8/2016 12:51 | I THINK figures will be flat at best possibly down a touch on a very strong first half last time. I still expect close to 2 p eps for full year meaning the shares at 4x are far too cheap. tiger | castleford tiger
25/8/2016 12:16 | Is this worth buying on the figures which must be imminent? | wiseacre
04/8/2016 23:06 | Hadn't seen this website before, not linked from mfx site that I could find. It is in the small print of connister bank site. hxxp://www.mfs.im/ | m1keg
01/7/2016 11:44 | Also the competitions paying little so why pay more. | gears
27/6/2016 09:40 | Rates are down from 2.5 to 1.75 for a five year period at the bank. So its, we don't want any more money as we cannot loan it or we have so much coming in we don't need to pay as much for it time? My money's still on rapid growth. | m1keg
12/6/2016 11:03 | Since I'm a value trader not a momentum trader I'm waiting to see if your thread adds any value! | m1keg
12/6/2016 10:59 | like it M1ke.......any reason you not on my more recently created thread ? I set it up hoping it may turn the share price at some point ?! | value viper

01/6/2016 21:31 | Well with full permission the potential market went up by some 65000 percent. Now lets wait and see how the company is going to address this huge market? Previous loan website was for Isle of man residents only. | m1keg
01/6/2016 18:03 | ..from chairman statement ."forcing pressure on yields" ...ie. pressure on profit margin imo --- 1M loan write off wrt profit of 2M is high ratio imho 1M is up from 1/2M in yr before ....up again in 2016 ??...is there a big 'bad loan' causing this....and as yet only partly recognised ? (Apparently Italian banks have shed loads of bad loans (property developers) but they dont disclose them since they would need a rescue if they did ( Italians bank shares down 25% in 2016 due imo to this). Recall Spanish banking system was bust....the ECB lent them X thousand million at I think at 0% to save the system. ---- BBVA bank boss said " negative ECB rate is killing us" | smithie6
24/5/2016 09:04 | puku. They have themselves to blame. Let me give you a few reasons. Dilution hanging over them , have they explained how that cannot work without breaching 30% When was the last time we had a broker produce forecasts? The lack of news flow is deafening. We get no info. The company is seriously undervalued. Then they need to earn their keep. tiger | castleford tiger
23/5/2016 16:55 | Lack of interest in AIM stocks. Delisting & share dilution can put people off. | gears
23/5/2016 16:33 | hasn't been over 20p for 7 yrs this. hadn't realised that until just now. A move back to 12p would be a decent start. r we gonna see a private placing so they can buy someone else maybe - is that why the shares are down maybe ? | value viper
23/5/2016 15:33 | Spoke to their guy at last month's Investors Event, they are fed up with the Market's lack of interest (despite having Jim Mellon on board). Last years post tax eps was 2.06p basic (1.29p diluted). If they further progress as last year then its screams "cheap". They provided £1059m for "impairment of assets" so well aware of risk factor. I spotted PCF at 10 p when under the radar and view this as similar, especially under 10p. | puku
22/5/2016 19:49 | ..posts asking why the p/e is lower than you think it should be imho - perhaps there is a bad debt or perceived risk of it. Noting that results are very geared to any bad debts. ( if lend 10M at 5% & it costs you 3% to borrow that money from other bank...you make 2%....very nice middleman % , 20k.....but if loan not repaid you could loose 1M !) - apparently banks dont do well with low mkt interest rates. - phps looming regulation changes might hit profitability ( big fish tend to act in advance and have better info & predictions ( they can pay for sector advice/research) than little fish !) | smithie6 |
