24/8/2018 22:56 | You don’t have to pay for the SCVR, you don’t have to subscribe you just need to register an email address. Given how much valuable information is available for no cash outlay, why wouldn’t you? If you’re worried about them having your email address, use a junk one you never check, and use a private browser to reduce cookies. Or not. Up to you, but don’t complain you can’t access the link, you just don’t want to for reasons obvious only to yourself. | mauricemonkey
24/8/2018 16:42 | LOL Perhaps then all that's left is a a quick read of the IC in Tesco tonight..... Chill people - a nice close to the week and I'm up >13% since buying on Montag. Enjoy the weekend! :-) GLA. | hawaly
24/8/2018 11:13 | MM, Thanks for chipping in ! No, you can't do what you've said unless you are already a registered user on S/pedia. Likewise with the Investors Chronicle. If you or EC have found a way to access & circulate the IC's subscription-only , current, on-line articles then do share your knowledge please. As a subscriber myself I would be stupid indeed to go on paying for what's apparently free by just clicking on someone's link to it. I am also a registered user on Stockopedia, but I don't allow sites to remember details & get asked to log in every time in order to see the particular article What's doubly stupid about posting those links is that the people who subscribe will get them anyway, while those that don't can't. | dogwalker
23/8/2018 23:42 | Dog walker. Stick to walking dogs for a living. The link clearly, if you scroll down far enough, talks about Graham’s thoughts on MACF. FFS, some people need protecting from themselves | mauricemonkey
23/8/2018 21:50 | Thanks for nothing. You too. (Maybe that's why this has been such an underused , over-bombastic thread since it was started). | dogwalker
23/8/2018 21:46 | Certainly, I am happy to leave the role of being pointlessly stupid on this thread exclusively to you. Keep up the good work. | effortless cool
23/8/2018 21:44 | Try not to be pointlessly stupid. Your so-called 'links' don't work unless someone already subscribes to the website you've advertised. | dogwalker
23/8/2018 21:35 | Those of you that aren't backward can find the write-up at the link. MACF was also a reiterated buy tip in the Investors Chronicle tonight. (Try not to get too confused with this one, Dogwalker). | effortless cool
23/8/2018 21:24 | Yes but not the one we want. | dogwalker
23/8/2018 20:44 | I'm afraid that it is you that is wasting everyone's time, Dogwalker. The link is correct; the thread it links to cover several shares with RNSs today. | effortless cool
23/8/2018 20:11 | Which is why I tend to avoid stockopedia - it wastes everyone's time. | dogwalker
23/8/2018 20:09 | When clicking onto your link above, EC, I get a link to something about 'Tracsis' (or similar), & nothing at all about MacF. | dogwalker
23/8/2018 15:53 | A nice write-up from Graham Neary here: | effortless cool
23/8/2018 13:40 | And all on overstretched valuations. | hvs
23/8/2018 13:36 | Numbers look pretty good here and sector prospects are excellent driven by increasing demand for boxes to service internet sales deliveries. The increasing pressure on plastic containers use should also underpin growth. I hold Smurfit Kappa and DS Smith as well as Macfarlanes and all are performing well. | ygor705
23/8/2018 09:17 | Nice results. Revenue a bit higher than I expected, but that benefit largely offset by gross margin being lower than I forecast. Two more small acquisitions post-period-end, to keep top line momentum going. I'm working through updating my forecasts now, and hope to be able to post an update over the long weekend. | effortless cool
23/8/2018 08:04 | Pension deficit remains much as before, albeit a bit of a reduction. Will take a while yet to be gone at this rate. | dogwalker
02/6/2018 20:24 | EC ... first time I have taken a look at the header. I've always skipped it in the past. Interesting and useful. Thank you for taking the trouble. | saltraider
30/5/2018 13:32 | Header update to reflect AGM trading statement. Predominantly due to recent share price strength, MACF drops to a HOLD for me. cellars, re 192 - I am also allowing for deferred payments so the source of our difference must be elsewhere. Happy to provide more granular information if you would like to do a detailed comparison. In any case, glad you are finding my analysis useful. | effortless cool
29/5/2018 20:45 | Good news looks like we are going into the small cap index announcement tomorrow after the close! | exbroker
15/5/2018 12:14 | Very positive upbeat AGM statement just come out, hopefully be reflected in price soon. B | battyliveson
18/4/2018 13:19 | EC Thanks very much for keeping the header going. Very helpful. FWIW the only significantly different figure I have is net debt £15.5 Mn at 31-12-18. Could the difference lie in deferred consideration? I have allowed for £3.25 Mn payable Q4. | cellars
16/4/2018 17:46 | I think the primary focus here is not on point of sale packaging; it is rather on that which provides protection during transit, thus reducing waste. Hence anti- POS packaging sentiment should have limited impact here. | cellars
03/4/2018 08:53 | Thanks cooled, although seems to be a bit of an overreaction to the share price lots of items will still need to be packaged. | rjd123
02/4/2018 22:23 | Rising raw material costs coupled with anti-packaging movement ? | coolen |
