Peregrine Diamonds at 101 on the list is a good shout

Backed by a major, good balance sheet and transparency (nice to see a company break down its admin costs so you can see exactly what's going where), has held its gains after decent newsflow in last year, $10m private placement last week at 30% premium

Valued around the £50m mark for much of 2009, now £125m and out of junior school

Andy,

Did you still hold RGO ?

I have emailed in the last week or so asking if they are still on for some seismic results in December, but they didn't get around to answering.

Re the list, none of my holdings appear on there !

Interesting analysis, not sure if this is a sponsored table or just their honest opinion, but quite a lot of stocks listed here, so probably worth a galnce through to find a few new ones.

My highest is number 77!

cahey76,

Ok, I just wondered, as SLI is having such a good run, and am looking for reasons as to why it's rising because I can't see any!

I hold, and it looks to have gone into overvalued territory, so unless some stunning news comes out, it may be time to lighten the load with a top slice.

But I won't be doing that whilst it continues to rise of course!

They have some Titan 24 3D modelling news due, but without the EIS, this has to be near what is acheivable without drilling, IMHO.

Andy, no but its on the watchlist, you obviously still like it ? Out of those I fancied it looked like something was going to happen to MER soon, so it felt important to get on board there, and take my time with the research on the others. Can't have them all !

Matty

The only info I got from the geologist acquaintance was that he believed they had better grades than were generally thought, the acreage they had was large and it was very prospective, and as you say like Aurelian.

Yes I noticed DRI doing its stuff. I didn't take the plunge though.

MDL (Medallion Resources) is an REE play, I don't know any more than that.

Looking about, the number of hockey stick charts around at the moment is ridiculous. Nice, but ridiculous :-)

Watch out for what happens with the foreclosure problem in the US, that's the only thing which might derail this train IMO.

Matty,Andy and cagey76

Looks like my V.DRI is coming good. Rumours of bonanza grades etc but noone can put their finger on anything yet.

Went up 64% on Wednesday on massive volume.Volume continued on Friday and back up 20%

You will definately get your pint of beer treat when it 10 bags....I hope.

Best wishes to All

Only at Stockhouse, where they are fretting over the apparent lack of drilling progress.

Well right now it's going up :-)

I have confidence because the properties were previously owned by Troy Resources, who are very respectable, competent and remain financially interested via a large equity stake. I have excitement because it's totally virgin territory and the grades and widths they are finding are very good basically. Troy did a lot of donkey work which means they can move straight to drilling on some excellent targets.

Management has a lot of skin in the game, and the recent appointment of Ken Thorsen seems like quite a coup. He was a key player in Teck's formative years apparently.

All in all, definitely not your average pump and dump stock IMO.

Let's not be hasty ... :-)

So, today MER.V closed at 45c, up 47.54% on volume of over 4m shares, and the company has issued another "Meritus continues drilling in Mongolia" statement.

I also note that a couple of bashers have appeared for the first time on Stockhouse, which says to me that we have finally "arrived". Cool.

Reminder: MER.V has approximately 68m fully diluted shares, assuming the placement announced from yesterday goes through.

ATAC is the one they are comparing it to on Stockhouse:

ATC.V has at least 78m shares out, for a market cap of well over $500m.

One thing worth remembering about Meritus is that Mongolia has no history of artisanal mining (except possibly for alluvial). So, unlike just about anywhere else in the world, the juicy stuff at and near surface remains in place.

Another thing to consider is that the 5 or 6 projects that Troy laid claim to years ago are amongst the cream of the crop as far as gold prospects go in the country. See map in PDF below:

Meritus popping another 18% today. Still a long way to go to catch up with IVN though ... ;-)
