Who would have thought it!
The once mighty Lonmin will be automatically relegated to the small cap index at the next review unless it bounces back from this level.
The main concern here is cash, or should I say, the lack thereof.

8% down on 2.4m shares traded.
how can a company fall in value by 50m when £1m shares are traded?
rigged markets.

me too just topped up.
shorters and traders give us opportunities.
just 2million shares traded today, probably on leveraged contracts can drive the price down 4%+.

risky though.
i did well out of Kaz when Odey and his chums announced they were shorting it.
when they finally closed out I was 30% down.
within 3 weeks i was 25% up.

best is to take a position then look away.
hard to do.

There can't be any real selling of the shares at these prices.
Just short term traders or shorters following the curve.
It takes courage or madness to buy.

Round them up and shoot them.

UBS put a note out yesterday with a target of 75p. Nevertheless they also say upside could be 170p if the Platinum price recovers. The revenue projections for the company still look very solid and the company is basically debt free at present. So I cannot see why there is no recovery option value priced in.

After seeing the report I am actually quite relaxed.

There were always those girls that were attracted to yobs losers and layabouts.
Never interested in successful handsome winners.

Thats how I am with shares.
No Glaxo, Diageo, Severn Trent or NationalGrid.

Give my Lonmin any time.
There is no hope.

platinum price up today and yet share price still falling.
there are some in SA who wish to drive the company out of business.
since the shootings by the police LMI have tried hard to improve their ways.

The risk here is political.
Rationalisation between platinum miners must be possible,a sort of opec or de beers, because production is concentrated.
This company is potentially valuable if producers get their act together, which they will.

my worst share at the moment, well down, hoping for a miracle.
I suppose the implementation of that rule that says 35%? of the shares must be owned by Black africans is affecting the overall position.
I will hold nervously but should have followed Ivan out, he is smart.

Capita group were adding until about 2 weeks ago and then suddenly stopped. Lot of small caps getting killed at the moment as margin calls still reverberating from huge drops in the Dax, Hang Seng, Commodities this week.
