Any idea what to expect from the interims?

Its gone down on hardly any volume.
The time to be worried as always is when there is a big increase in sales .

Most folks are just waiting for the interims on the 27th to more clearly establish the fundamentals.

They still need to complete their existing production deal so there will be an RNS about that once they complete.

They may also enter other SE Asian countries via licensing rounds or M&A as with their new team in SE Asia they've expanded their geography beyond Malaysia.

There's also potential for more M&A news as well as news about progressing plans with JV partners on following up on LBE's existing discoveries.

But I think the immediate next news will be the interims unless they spring a surprise.

Yes, agreed Velocette never priced-in.
Will they get a bit of a bonus (of the $30m)?

Ok, what's next up?
- Interims
- a production deal?
- any licencing results in Norway?

I think that's it for the wells for the foreseeable? Lotus & Oswig marked for end 2024.

Ditto, said exactly the same elsewhere - Menzies has got the kind of vibe and interest that Helge and the gang bless ‘em, don’t :) Kertang is gonna be one hell of a story anyway, but now we have a storyteller to suit.

Meeting at 10am BST... now'ish..
Let's see what they have to say.

- taking on Topaz managers for "expansion in SE Asia" with incentives to grow production
- targeting gas
- explo initial but expect M&A for production (implied sooner than activity on new block)

- Kertang is deep water (1,000m) but "giant" prospect 9tcf
- Well cost estimate today's money about $50m+

- Norway, ongoing project discussions in progress; uncertain time scale

That's it, Interims in a few weeks!

From Cavendish broker note ..

A Successful, Supportive Jurisdiction: Malaysia’s E&P industry shares many of the same characteristics as Norway, where a high barrier for entry results in limited competition and a strong, supportive regulator encourages new entrants. The opportunity set in Malaysia is like that of the North Sea 15-20 years ago, where the majors/supermajors are looking to rationalise their portfolios.
Despite having a mature oil & gas industry, Malaysia has enjoyed a huge amount of exploration success in recent years. Of the 16 wells drilled in 2022, 10 resulted in discoveries (a c63% success rate), of which eight were discovered offshore Sarawak.

This deal on Block 2a offshore Malaysia seems to infer Longboat's 52.5% interest is worth up to $10m on a successful drill . With Longboat's current $16m market cap arguably based solely on prospects in Norway , this is surely yet another major catalyst for the shareprice ?
