16/5/2005 00:07 | Well Thursday this went 'blue' for the day, the first time I think since I bought LSB about a month ago, and Friday it did it again. This thread stayed quiet so not too many shocks ref LSB. John Lee did not mention LSB last week, which I guess is good in that he did not sell, glass half full etc. Compared to 6 weeks ago it looks a good buy on yield, but if I did not hold, I would hope to have learnt with the graph above to keep waiting incase it goes even lower ? Takeover can only be more likely but I have too little knowledge of this sector to even guess who might or when. | ![]() drectly
05/5/2005 18:47 | This continues to drift down at a very gradual rate, any thoughts on the reason or a level at which it might stabalise ? | ![]() drectly
16/4/2005 11:10 | I hold LSB as I'm a follower of John Lee in the FT. Both LSB (John Lee, FT) and CTT (FT, to-day) are potential takeover targets. Presumably recent share price weakness raises the possibility of a takeover - but are there any differences between LSB and CTT that make one rather than the other vulnerable to a takeover? | ![]() bobdouthwaite
15/4/2005 22:37 | Another big fall today - the sub prime lenders are all having problems of late, but this one seems to have had the worst (and most consistent)price fall. The trading update last week wasn't promising (yet we are off another 9p a share since then)and even now Hitachi have a slightly better looking PE - whilst Cattles PE is higher still (but not much) they do appear to be a company going in the right direction. LSB looks like a stock that ought to rise as it has gone off a cliff since the results in mid-January when they were 127 (though 4.5p of that fall will have been from going XD mid March) If the results were well received and ahead of expectations as recently as January and accompanied with a 127 price, things have got to have worsened dramatically to justify 113 today. I think I like CTT as an investment, and LSB as a punt - anyone any thoughts? | jone3261
14/4/2005 00:07 | drectly, well I can't recall seeing a 'k' (block) trade before, but two here today, and each for over 4,000,000 shares, identical amounts, and looks like a BUY rollover, although there may be another explanation. According to the trades, over 13,000,000 sells, certainly high volume. The chart suggests it MAY be close to the bottom of the range again, and it could bounce back towards the 130p level, looks like a trader's dream. | ![]() andy
13/4/2005 23:26 | Bought a few of these today, other shares AHT and SHEL. AHT held on the way down as well as up, SHEL for about a year. Why LSB ? Strong follower of John Lee in the FT and this appears somewhere that has value even after he tip, we will see. Intention to hold long term for income, but if it went up 30% next month the strategy might change. Enough rabbit, anyone know why the volume was so high today, I am fairly certain I did not add a few nought's to my buy. Thoughts and comments appreciated john | ![]() drectly
24/1/2005 18:40 | Hi forryan I plunged in with 1000 shares on Friday and for once I seem to have got a share with a rising price?? Blue today. last year was disaster with falling prices. Perhaps my 2005 might be a little better :-) | ![]() geminian
19/1/2005 23:03 | Why is this share down today? They have just posted some good results, they pay a decent and growing dividend, they seem to be solvent and well-managed - WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS? | forryan

09/9/2004 08:40 | more comment today in the times...mentioning the 175p bid and also that it is more likely to be a British high st that goes for it, rather than an equity group.... | ![]() sportbilly1976
08/9/2004 11:07 | no idea - nothing mentioned internally, but then again we are usually the last to know !! | ![]() sportbilly1976

05/8/2004 17:55 | Has anyone had dealings with Robinson Way, part of LSB? Thanks Mark | marksp
06/7/2004 10:08 | Not all of John Lee's work ! But one of his is WHI and that is a real cracker...LSB is suffering from sector forces...if I were you I'd cut and get into WHI for a 50% run! | ![]() scotswhaehae
