20/9/2010 07:28 | Rob..........Aren't you a little embarrassed about letting everyone know that you are not capable of understanding my anecdote about Triumph? Never mind, by the time you read this today you can think, only another 8 hrs at the office and then you can go home. And you'll be doing the same thing day after day, week after week..............ti Mean while I'll be out on my boat......perfect sunny day for it. Enjoy!! | a0502162
19/9/2010 12:42 | A0, first thing Monday morning nip down to Logica HQ and check out the Directors Car Park. If the CEO and board drive old clunkers then you have found a great company to invest in and once again you would have been Triumphant. I hear Andy Green opts out of cars and rides a silver 1960 Triumph Tiger 110 with sidecar, he now has to be high on your list of top men. | robwt
19/9/2010 08:06 | robwt - 18 Sept'10 - 15:41 - 2641 of 2641 A0, I have just read your post again and had a good belly laugh. I imagined Warren Buffett creeping around checking out the car park at Coca Cola. There are a dozen or so in this office who are beginning to regard you as the 'Mr Bean' of the financial world. But on a serious note, it is your mental health we are concerned about. Try deleting this one! | a0502162
19/9/2010 07:35 | Rob................. That's why you're still working for a living! | a0502162
18/9/2010 15:42 | hvs..The memorandum of understandng will be published in a week or so. Until it is, investors will be nervous. The shares ended the week up so it can't be that bad. | robwt

17/9/2010 17:04 | Anyone know why this is going down after all the ramping by the so called "expert" anal ysts ? | hvs
17/9/2010 16:41 | Rob............you never cease to amaze me. If you are going to quote me and I'm flattered that you do, then at least quote me correctly or it just makes you look even more stupid than you are. The point is, as you obviously missed it, is that if the directors cars, leased or otherwise are newer than the machines, leased or otherwise, they are making precision parts on, then they have their priorities wrong. You can't make modern motorcycles or anything else for that matter on out of date machinery.....the tolerances aren't good enough. Which is why the old motor industries all went down the toilet! Also, There still is only one Triumph motorcycle company and it's British unlike nearly all the car companies in Britain. Not only that it's a success............. Grow up and get a life................ Have a good weekend............. | a0502162
17/9/2010 14:43 | Quote...They checked out the age of the Director's cars in the car park and their criteria was to then check out the age of the cars in the directors car parks and then the age of the production machines in the factories. If the cars in the car park were newer than than the machines in the factory then they didn't get an order from Triumph. lol, I am holding my sides, a real gem of a story and a new peak for A0's BS. Considering companies change their leased vehicles at 24 months because it is the proven cost effective method, where did these bright Triumph guys end up scouting for business and checking car parks, Cuba! Another thing, there has only been one Triumph motorcycle manufacturer and sadly they are no longer. New Triumph, like New Labour is fakery trying to gain success from nostalgia. | robwt
17/9/2010 09:53 | I remember talking to the guys who helped set up the new Triumph Motorcycles company when they were searching for suppliers in England. Their criteria was to check out the age of the cars in the directors car parks and then the age of the production machines in the factories. If the cars in the car park were newer than than the machines in the factory then they didn't get an order from Triumph............. | a0502162
17/9/2010 09:24 | good board this. thanks for advice. On the tesco front I was in Sainsburys but lost patience with them just before they shot up. I like Tesco becuase of their investments in far east, although the USa did not work for them, the stores in Thailand as always chokka. I work in part time in Shenzhen now and the chinese really love western shops. So am sticking in there, for now. When sailing I moored next to the guy who ran tescos ops there in Thailand, clever guy, they know how to recruit. Also he had a a very modest yacht, said to me a lot. | brightontrader
15/9/2010 12:39 | George O Conner at Panmure is very bullish on Logica. | robwt
15/9/2010 10:41 | Rob.......you seem to forget that you are the one who is still sitting on losses from 2006................ | a0502162

15/9/2010 09:31 | lol !!!! lol !!!! Watch this space. Cheered by the optimism, Logica rose by nearly 5 per cent or 5.6p to close at 124.7p and Capita adding 21.5p to end the session at 770.5p | hvs
15/9/2010 07:22 | Indeed Logica unleashed. Market Report: Whitehall vow to honour contracts boosts Logica Wednesday, 15 September 2010 Outsourcers were in favour, with Logica climbing higher, as fears of cutbacks and delays to Government contracts began to fade last night. The catalyst was news of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Cabinet Office and the UK arm of France's Capgemini. The memo, which follows a similar MoU between the Government and Atos Origin last week, confirmed that "all existing contracts remain and continue to be delivered as planned", soothing nerves across the sector. "It moves the sentiment dial to positive remember Atos shares were up 7 per cent on its MoU," Panmure Gordon said. "Sources suggest that Logica's MoU is about a week behind... and should serve to remind investors that the shares, trading on a current price to forward earnings multiple of 10.2 times, are inexpensive relative to the sector (trading on 14.3 times) and Logica's traditional trading range." Cheered by the optimism, Logica rose by nearly 5 per cent or 5.6p to close at 124.7p and Capita adding 21.5p to end the session at 770.5p | etome
15/9/2010 06:46 | odd posts on here, however whats the view on the divi, is it worth 6p for instance. Along time ago I worked alonside Logica on a trading platform implementation, Barings new dealing room, 1992 or 3. They were top class then. I retired in 96 and went sailing for 5 years so completely lost touch with tech sector, since coming back have focussed trading on boring blue chips, like tesco, and weirdly have done really well in these types of shares. a few weeks ago thought I would dip into tech sector again, ARM for instance was 1st, now Logica this week, something makes me think that after years of reduced IT spend there must be project work that needs doing and outsourcing is cheaper.. | brightontrader

14/9/2010 16:48 | XD tomorrow but that does not account for the recent rise in the share price Something must be going but it has not been announced. In the days of the dotcom boom a rise of 50p was par for the course as opposed to now when a 6p rise is sensational. | selborne_edge
14/9/2010 15:31 | Alerts I think you call them..............ca Some of the greatest minds both now and from the past were Dyslexic.....so shut it! ps: Your only posting that has ever made sense to me is your last sentence, amazing! | a0502162 |
