26/8/2009 09:07 | It's Wednesday today. | a0502162
25/8/2009 15:38 | Mike111d Would that be the prognosis from the GP? | a0502162
25/8/2009 13:19 | A decent recovery on the day. | mike111d
21/8/2009 12:41 | MIATA You'll be upseting rob with news like that. Of course it could mean any one bidding for it would be able to buy it at a bargain............. Looks like the grapes have fallen off your vine rob. Can't waite to hear a comment about this! Enjoy the GP, but why you didn't use an English doctor I'll never know. | a0502162
21/8/2009 11:25 | AO. Keep reading the IR and watching Working Lunch and leave the proper investing to us experienced big players. I Have to go to Spain for the weekend, the GP at Valencia. Hope you can make your rent from trading your old chestnuts A0, it must be hard being a rookie with peanuts to trade with. LOL...... | robwt
21/8/2009 10:00 | Nice to end the week with another profit in the bag. Hey rob...still nursing the losses.............. One day LOG might even end up there............... | a0502162
20/8/2009 15:55 | I'm certainly not as entertaining as some of your Walter Mitty postings rob. I thought you promised to continue with the therapy............. Now lie down and relax and let it all out................. | a0502162
20/8/2009 14:23 | Thanks, thats most encouraging | selborne_edge
20/8/2009 12:07 | Selborne, if Logica were 160p today the company would be approx no. 77 in the FTSE 100. In the Sunday Times at the weekend they were standing at exactly number 100. If Logica's share price performs better than the stragglers dropping out of favour then it could be on the cards. | robwt
20/8/2009 11:16 | rogsim, Logica is undervalued compared to the rest of the sector. A wake up call for fund managers to buy before it enters the FTSE 100 and they all take notice. | robwt
20/8/2009 11:11 | Logica has been trying to get back into the FTSE 100 for a long time. At a share price of 113.10 pence it is capitalised at £1809.81M. Difficult to know what figure of market capitalisation Logica needs to get into the FTSE but I should think 160 pence might do it. | selborne_edge
20/8/2009 11:10 | A0, you are good entertainment. | robwt
20/8/2009 08:12 | robwt So you think you finaly made a bit of money in July...........I think you will find, if you bother to read back, I made some as well. The beano is just about right for you, it has the same kind of stories as your own. South of France.............. You poor sad sod, all bitter and twisted. Grow up and try and get a life, before it's too late for you. | a0502162
20/8/2009 06:18 | LOG with a chance of re-entering the FTSE 100? | rogsim
19/8/2009 21:08 | A0, don't keep crying because you got left at the post in July you old cheapskate. Don't get upset because you didn't make any DOSHEROO, oh sorry dosh. Have to go now, I am reading the Beano financial section. | robwt
19/8/2009 17:44 | robwt Ignoring the questions again. Which Wednesday not this one as you first suggested that's for sure!! Normaly when someone "picks a little out of a post" they give the original writer some credit! I don't miss out as I have explained and proven, even on this board. Neither do I play................ Your postings are sounding more and more like desperate ramping and wishful thinking rather than Logic............... Anyone can claim to have made a profit after the event, BT example you gave earlier............. | a0502162
19/8/2009 16:31 | There are two 'e's in Wednesday so pay attention. I picked the little bit out of the post as a reminder and just to keep it on the page. If you had read the post properly you would see I made further comments. You should take notice as you keep missing out. I would like to see you make some dosh instead of playing at being a pro investor. I also heard on the grapevine that Logica had just landed a big contract from under IBM. | robwt
19/8/2009 16:09 | robwt Make your mind up which Wednesday are you talking about, otherwise I could make a big mistake. The post on 11 Aug'09 - 14:01 - 2208 of 2227 by grahamburn already gave a full report on the three bankers............. Do you have anything new to report? Are you sure not the same person as Selborne? | a0502162
19/8/2009 16:02 | Thanks very much robwt, that was most interesting and useful. I will of course closely watch this space. | selborne_edge
19/8/2009 15:55 | Two banking sources speculated the UK listed defense giant could bid for Logica whose operations in the public sector account for 30% of the company's overall revenues. A third banker said that BAE would likely target an acquisition in the low single digit billions and Logica's market capitalization of GBP 1.65bn would fit with this scenario. The first banking source and the third agreed that BAE could either acquire the whole of Logica and sell on the non core divisions to an Indian IT company, or simply take out the divisions it required. "Logica holds sensitive defence contracts with the UK government and would only divest its public sector arm to a UK or US group," the first banking source said. In the past BAE has targeted companies that are no more than 15% non core, noted a fourth banker. Selborne, I have never been more bullish regarding this stock. I think the BAE story is 100% on the button, but BAE will not be on their own in the bidding. I cannot name the company, but let me just say there has been talk of other interest. It all sounds good because we would have to be looking at a price of £2 plus at least. This is only my opinion based on bits of info and other opinions I have been given, so don't sell your house. | robwt
19/8/2009 14:53 | I assume that your source for this most welcome news is fairly reliable 'robwt'. When Microsoft set up in Cambridge there were rumours that MS might bid for Logica. Nothing came of it of course but we can but hope | selborne_edge
19/8/2009 13:09 | Next Wednesday, fill your boots and forget about dogs like Centrica. | robwt |
