Real deal, I think the spike deal is very interesting as well. Clearly the potential for Athena is bigger than people thought, or the operators wanted to wait to see the flows. Looks like trp got their share for a steal, which we said at the time.

Spike Exploration recently bought into Athena, they acquired 15% of Athena from DYAS, now will spike want more of Athena, they also have $300 Million available to them, that is not chicken feed, so where else are they looking? what other fields or possibly reverse into a company to ensure low costs, i believe they are Privately owned so will they see this as an oppurtunity to go Public? all looking good for Athena, i reckon people know more about Athena than they are letting on, just how large is Athena?

buys coming in at 5.5 now. hmmmm. Wouldn't say the volume is overly big apart from that 1 million. But the way the mm's are pushing up the price on small volume suggests at the very least there's little stock around.

Also lessens the chance of a really low ball bid now.

This spie deal is good news. Shows a lot of confidence in Athena, especially when they say they see upside with enhanced recovery. Although that could be costly.
