Yes, gotno, George was the boy , and still playing very very well ... they all used to sing and scat sing ... he just saw money in it. That's one hell of a good GB collection you have there! I'm jealous..

I write out and play some of his solos live, and those of Wes, and you can see the clear line from one to another... and Norman Brown and that black player with Diana Krall..Russell Malone.... what wonderful role models these great black musicians had..

A word of warning here I have banked with lloyds for 40 years but it is now turning into a complete mess. Its so bad I'm actually leaving them and switching banks as they are simply awful. Their website and online banking is poor and full of bugs. Their customer service is useless
Make the most of the high price because I doubt it will last as more and more people get fed up with sub standard services

SIR – We should welcome the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, which seeks to force Switzerland to enact the climate policies of Greta Thunberg and her friends ("Tory backlash over European court's climate ruling", report, April 10). For it banishes all doubt: the UK must leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) as soon as possible. This victory for the eco-warriors is a dire warning. We voted for Brexit to regain our national sovereignty; we cannot allow ourselves to be governed by lawyers in Strasbourg. Our departure will also leave us free to tackle illegal immigration effectively, with policies decided by our own democratically elected government.John HicksManchester....Daily Telegraph

I've got twin nephews who turned 16 recently so I gave them both £20 for jonnies to shag some birds with. 'What's birds' they asked?? Ffs!! Kids have got no idea these days, they're all basically PC communists. The sooner we get back to calling lads proper names like Dave and Gavin & raising them on robust staples like Chubby Brown & Bernard Manning the better off we'll all be.

My bank increased rates to 5.1% until Nov. That suggests to me rates not coming down anytime soon. I quickly transferred some cash to take advantage.

RUSSIAN STRIKES IN ODESSA DISRUPT MILITARY SUPPLIES FROM NATO.

Support SouthFront

On April 10, the Russian military pounded Ukrainian military and industrial facilities in the Odessa region. According to local reports, at least six explosions thundered in the city of Odessa and its region during the day.

One of the first strikes was reported at about 5:30 a.m. The target was the strategically important railway bridge between Chernomorsk (Ilyichevsk) and Alexandrovka. The bridge was used for transfer of weapons, ammunition and military equipment supplied to the port of Chernomorsk from NATO states.

At the moment of the Russian strike, a locomotive was moving across the bridge. Both the bridge and the train cane under attack. Judging by the footage, the train was destroyed and the bridge was heavily damaged. The local sources confirmed that the bridge was put out of service. In the afternoon, the second Russian strike reportedly hit the same bridge.

The head of the local Ukrainian regional administration confirmed damage to “the transport infrastructure facility’ in the Odessa region.

“The transport infrastructure in the Odessa region has been damaged,” the official wrote on the social media.

Back on April 7, the same bridge came under another attack by Russian kamikaze drone. The kamikaze UAV damaged the bridge but it managed to put it out of service for not a long time.

The railway line is of strategic importance for the Ukrainian military supplies. It leads to the southern part of the port of Chernomorsk (Ilyichevsk). The damage to the bridge will heavily complicate the transfer of NATO military equipment that still enters the Odessa region by sea. The Russian military is working hard to block the supply of weapons and ammunition to the Odessa region from abroad.

The destruction of port infrastructure is ongoing in all Ukrainian southern regions. On April 10, Russian strikes destroyed the area of accumulation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Black Sea coast near the port town of Ochakov in the Mykolaiv region, where, presumably, about 300 servicemen came under attack.

Trimmed my LLOY stake down to a bare minimum today, simply because there have been so many times when the positive narrative has turned sour. Let's see where the share price goes over the next six months. My guess is the US will defer interest rate cuts where the economy is stronger and it is seeing a CPI resurgence, and the BoE MPC will not dare to move until the US do.
