As Harold Macmillan’s notorious “events” rain down on Boris Johnson’s incapable government, it will become clear that he’s to blame. This chaos carries the hallmark of his character, out of control and unprepared.

At a local petrol station with a long tailback, someone has scrawled: “If you voted Brexit, go to the back of the queue!” A sign outside a pub in Pembrokeshire I saw read, “Staff wanted, dead or alive”: the next day they’d added “and manager”. Labour’s message that the Tories have lost control, delivered at its annual party conference, resonates around the country.

"You cannot hoard petrol (not much, anyway), and people are not driving more (on average a bit less, I would think), so I would agree with K38 on this one"

Agreed. Thirded.

Only have 35 litres of petrol to hand jerry can(metal) side. For garden equipment and if it comes to a push, petrol generator. Petrol lasts 6 months odd apparently at least if kept in cool constant temperatures.

You cannot hoard petrol (not much, anyway), and people are not driving more (on average a bit less, I would think), so I would agree with K38 on this one.

Only where there is a high ratio of cars to petrol stations would there be an issue (which is why all the cameras appear to be trained on London). Where I am (Oxford area) is medium queues.

This is just toilet rolls mark 2.

No shortage of fuel or drivers. Another fiasco from BBC.They love to report b.s. and panic the population. Remember the empty shelves? There is fuel everywhere.. I just fill up from Tesco. By tomorrow we will be back to normal like nothing happened.

4:37pmPublic say no: 70pc of people say Angela Rayner was wrong to call Tories scuumThe vast majority of people have said it is not acceptable for a senior politician to publicly call their opponents "scum". Although Angela Rayner insisted yesterday that it was common for people in "northern working-class towns" to refer to each other in such terms, a snap poll from YouGov suggests otherwise: some 70 per cent said it was not acceptable, while just 19 per cent said it was.  Labour voters were most likely to say that it is acceptable (36 per cent) but even among this group, more than half (52 per cent) were against. Both northerners and working class Britons rejected the term, with 70 and 71 per cent respectively saying it is not acceptable.  ... scruff1,
Infantile comment scruff and he makes 100 of you sport .
You will be glad that your Tory party would like to privatise channel 4 as
it is not right wing enough and even a good satirical show like MASH was terminated by the new TORY chaairman of the BBC but can still watch it on DAVE - I thought they only had repeats !
