I can't see any probs bringing back imperial measurements. Surely all kids could easily add 3 stone 13 pounds 12 ounces to 4 stone 8 pounds 7 ounces couldn't they? How about subtracting one pound twelve and ninepence ha'penny from six pounds eight and seven pence?

They'd be degree level questions these days.

As to differentiating between a mass of 1 pound and a weight of 1 pound weight, forget it!.
