Five years to rid ourselves of the very British snobbery of white collar careers over blue collar. Where is the government help with start-ups? Apprenticeships are rarer than hens teeth.Get someone in from industry and commerce to drive it. Those public school educated career politicians in Westminster have no idea about such things.... Kids these days, they have to over-complicate the simple: 'Sell in May and go away'. The market is 1/2 dead for the summer, same as it always is; no need to over-complicate it with conspiracy theories.

Jl5, in the poorest African countries like Ethiopia, Slavery is regarded a form of social security with slaves being generally regarded as extremely fortunate. Perhaps the wokesters energies might be better deployed against the modern day slave traders... the illegal immigrant traffickers from the EU. No point in looking over your shoulder to a bygone era when there's work to be done in the here & now is there?

"CDC investigating case of teenager who died after receiving Pfizer shot - Detroit News"

The CDC is investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy who died just three days after receiving the second dose of Pfizer's (PFE +0.4%) COVID-19 vaccine, The Detroit News reports.

Jacob Clynick died in his sleep last month and his death was reported to the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System ("VAERS").

Clynick's aunt told the Detroit Free Press that the teen was healthy and had no underlying health conditions. He did experience post-vaccination side effects including fatigue and fever, she said.
The family was told that a preliminary autopsy showed Clynick's heart was enlarged and there was fluid around the heart, according to the aunt.

Last month, the FDA updated labeling for both the Pfizer/BioNTech (BNTX) and the Moderna (MRNA -0.3%) mRNA vaccines to warn of rare cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart) after vaccination.

The YOUNG do not need to be vaccinated for a virus that 99.6% of them will recover from catching.



”Deaths due to COVID-19 Delta variant among fully vaccinated: Scientists are not alarmed”

The U.K., considered as a bellwether of the post-pandemic world, has recorded a small number of so-called breakthrough COVID-19 cases leading to questions over vaccine efficacy.

According to Our World in Data, as of July 01, the U.K. has fully vaccinated nearly 49% of its population. Approximately 66% of people have received at least one COVID-19 shot.

However, the country is caught up in an uptick in case numbers as the highly transmissible Delta variant spread accounting for 146K identified cases over the past week, up 72% from a week ago. Currently, the prevalence of the Delta variant in the U.K. stands at 97%.

There were 117 deaths among 92K Delta variant cases recorded through June 21. And 50 of those who died have received the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, The Wall Street Journal reported citing data from Public Health England.

Yet, the scientists are not sounding the caution as they point out that none of the vaccines authorized by regulators are 100% effective in the prevention of COVID-19.

Furthermore, the immune responses of different individuals vary. The elderly and those who have a weaker immune system are less likely to mount a strong immune response as might be expected from younger and healthier individuals.

The other reason: Even if the vaccination cuts the COVID-related risk of death by 95% in the elderly, the mortality risk of a fully immunized elderly person might still be higher than that faced by a much younger person even with no vaccination against COVID-19.

According to data from the U.K., all 50 Delta-variant-related deaths reported among fully vaccinated people were in those aged 50 years and older.
