27/1/2021 23:06 | This is not the union Europe was hoping for. This union is the death of Europe. Democracy, freedom, individuality, history, religion, family.. you named is out of the window. How long this union will survive if they don't change direction and if these countries don't gain back their freedom from Brussels. | k38
27/1/2021 22:38 | Seed sown indeed psychochopper. With our new found nimbleness now we have thrown off the EU shackles, the UK's vaccine success is likely to be followed by other high profile successful initiatives. These won't go unnoticed by the remaining 27.....if the UK can do it..... | ![]() cheshire pete
27/1/2021 22:37 | Would be interesting to know how the Russian vaccine fares since it is made using the old style methodology providing a c19 ? neutralised particle into the vaccine - ie a bit of the virus. Should that prove more lasting? We will hear. | ![]() jl5006

27/1/2021 22:18 | It may be the short and medium term case that AZN will bend to the commercial reality of their exposure (across all products) to the EU. But the long term damage to the EU is infinite and this week, a seed has been sown that will stay in so many peoples’ minds that a further move by a member state to get out will be more likely to succeed. If they allow a vote, that is. Perhaps all countries that are not Germany or France will be under EU military rule by that time to ward off such votes. But everyone has seen the reality of the EU this week, and some remainers are utterly shocked. They’ve told me! | ![]() psychochopper

27/1/2021 21:37 | Dig a bit deeper m2, many factors give high COVID rate including damp/cold climate favourable to virus, population density, density of housing in towns and cities, cultural and religious customs and traditions, data recording of cases/deaths in worst possible interpretation, to name but a few. Of course none of the above is acknowledged by the left / liberal politicians and media as they much prefer to weaponise the data against Boris and the Tories, not realising that Joe Public is smarter than they give them credit for and can see past it, just as they did with Brexit. | ![]() cheshire pete

27/1/2021 20:53 | Robbed from the JTC thread.. Mount Teide27 Jan '21 - 20:29 - 91377 of 91377 0 2 0 The sight of the EU pleading and begging the UK for British designed and produced vaccines just 4 weeks after Brexit was fully implemented is just too delicious for words. Well, sorry, you're going to have to suck it up because as Mr Obama once said "you're at the back of the queue" So, there's a problem with production in Belgium, an EU country last time I looked, resulting in a shortage in EU supplies. The EU arrogantly demands that AZ breaks it's contract with the UK and honours the EU contract. Can you imagine how much they would have laughed it had been the other way round? Yes, reversing the situation is the acid test. And no, we would get nothing apart from a lot of snide comments about Brexit, and how the Brexiteers still haven't understood that the EU is a rules based organisation! I think the EU choosing to conduct its commercial negotiation via tabloid smears over the AZ vaccine’s efficacy, and generally bashing the Company in the media, is the best indication of the paucity of their legal and contractual position. The 'hopeless', 'neanderthal, 'back to the future' UK having vaccinated more than 5 times the average achieved by the clueless, bureaucratic EU is the stuff of brexit dreams, especially when all we hear from the incompetent, sharp elbowed, whining EU officials is outrageous demands they must be allowed to jump to the front of the queue. Game, set and Brexit! | ![]() maxk

27/1/2021 19:27 | Anyone departing from the UK will be required to declare their reasons for travelling, as the Government today announces tighter border restrictions – including 'quarantine hotels' for arrivals from selected countries. Speaking in the House of Commons this afternoon, Home Secretary Priti Patel said that it "is clear that there are still too many people coming in and out of our country each day," and set out new measures to "reduce passenger flow so that only a small number of people for whom it is absolutely essential to travel are doing so." This has really gone into orbit insanity. | ![]() jl5006
27/1/2021 19:19 | M2Why you find so difficult to admit Britain doing excellent job (and your friends in Brussels did a mess, as usual..) with the vaccine and give credit to Boris for once...Stop being a loser for once.. what they say? give credit... | k38
27/1/2021 19:14 | M2Sometimes you post really b.s. or most of the time.....I just wonder if was the other way round, us desperately for the vaccine because we were stupid and arrogants if you would had said thesame or put us down as usual!M2 "All countries in Europe should work together on delivering a vaccine that is reasonably paced with each other. There is no point getting ahead if the world is behind. Politicians on both sides with start point scoring when they shouldn't be. This isn't a race it is a fight against a common enemy. If the UK is not careful it will find itself VERY isolated in the future. If Europeans die because the UK doesn't act responsibly then be prepared to deal with any future fall outs. Don't forget EU manufacturing was used to help UK vaccines since Day 1 and so there is no reason this shouldn't be reversed to help the EU get up to speed. The EU will crush us if it wants to. People are underestimating the EU and overestimating Little England."B.S..... m2, lol. | k38 |
