"Especially the ones who play in the world cup, winning 2 to 3 games and return to uk to become "stars" like ... lineker and get 1.5 million taxpayers money a year"

To be fair Lineker did bail England out on several occasions in the 90's....But certainly not worth £1.5m a year on the telly

M2, I dont really think you understand that the profile of the premiership. Tomori is Chelseas 5th choice centre back. He will walk into Inter Milans 1st team having just been sold for £25M, that his big our league is. It's not something that should be criticized it should be celebrated. These players pay lots of tax.

Trump is putting this out. Perhaps a tad late in the day? except of course for the very recent events.

Lord Hailsham coined the phrase elective dictatorship over 40 years ago - see his book, The Dilemma of Democracy. Labour was then going through one of its most extreme phases, and Benn in particular had come up with the idea that the Party in power had an absolute right to do anything whatever that was in its manifesto. The situation was very dangerous.

This, incidentally, is one of the main reasons most Conservatives voted to stay in the EEC.

Well world number one Novak Djokovic has made a series of demands for them. But the government in Victoria says players "will not be given any special treatment".

"The virus doesn't treat you specially, so neither do we," says Victorian premier Daniel Andrews.

Well said. Just overrated, overpaid morons who can just hit a ball!

Big Deal!

Strange: we’ve enjoyed seeing people kicking balls, punching people, running, throwing, using rackets, bowling things for hundreds of years. The winners have been regarded as heros by society. In every country of the world.

Tendulkar in India, a 110m hurdler and a snooker player in China, Michael Jordan in the US, Pele in Brazil, Torville and Dean and Daley in the U.K. Footballers in Europe and South America, runners in Africa, skiers in Europe and the US, various Aussies, Kiwis and so on and so on. In fact, the world loves sport and those who allow us to enjoy it (the players).

Once again, M2, you’re completely out of tune with the mainstream, your sight foggy from jealousy, bitterness and the fact that you are fundamentally thick.

What’s worse is that you are low class, a liar and a loser.

Alien Aceuk That's an American problem. They using this system from cave times and Trumplike others before him was the winner of that election...tell them not me.Now, stealing an election it's another thing and it's happens quite often in USA.

America has really lost its way. A blatantly stolen election, and then despite vast numbers of witnesses, redefining reality to enact an impeachment.

We don't have a democratic system. It's about time you realise that. I read an article over the weekend that referred to our system as an "elected dictatorship" - that's where we are at.

I believe you referring to the American system... which I agree, they need to solve this problem. This thing about winning the popular vote but losing the election it's crazy as you and M2 acting against the uk democratic system ... one person one vote.

Say bye bye to Merkel from me...:))

Swerve, your problem is that your uber pragmatic. Just as you can only appreciate probably 75% of the ability of top sports people you only comprehend 75% of information that your exposed to. You've reached your glass ceiling and theres nothing u can do about it cos you've not got the tools. Your a Marine right back...centre half at best.

"Be back in the EU in 5 years"No under conservatives unless we see major changes from Brussels on democracy and freedom...again, if you think labour will win the next election and take us in again.. I have news for you. 1) they will lose the next election.2) but if they win, reversing the democratic decision with no changes from Brussels you will witness demonstration and overnight resign of the labour government.
