K38.... I always like to take a little profit. If it goes down that's fine, I buy more and if they go up to 60p or more I will sell the rest. at 70p I will swing trade as I have (on LLoy) for 30 years. Good luck to you (make lots of money) :o)

Porto, been out on a food shop, I like to keep the fridge and freezers topped up. I'm 80 now so don't want to go out in the bad weather. Re CNA I have been in from that time so as you can work out I am very much under water with them! In big with Lloy but was caught out with holdings at a high price, my average now about 68p but less considering the divis received. I am very hopeful that they will in the future clear some of my losses off...so fingers crossed there.

Re 342
We do not need a trade deal FFS
Certainly not a deal that leaves us subject to WA and PD.
Since only a deal which carries the WA and PD into our future can be agreed - why are we doing this/
Worse than a cesspit Doris - trying to screw us even more.
Or have I got this all wrong - the withdrawal agreement and the political declaration are wonderful arrangements - and treason insisted they be as they are - for she will die in the barrel the witch of Maidenhead.

Absolutely correct in saying they should be at least 60p or more. I only sold half today to grab a quick profit and buy back if they drop. The rest of my LLOY holding average is 40p so looking for at least 60p.....

If inflation returns they switch the parameters to target employment rate...so the rates never actually go up..all just talk...

Good luck max I hope you get lucky. (I am looking for profits taking to top up)But..Based on the charts, chances to top up at 34p are getting low and even lower for 28p But there is a chance which I don't really like to mention it this time.

This weird combination of massive government spending and zero interest rates is driving investors crazy.

Normally the issue of billions of government debt would cause a spike in interest rates and inflation.
but when the government buy their own debt we are in the crazy position of alchemy.

I reckon inflation will return, interest rates must rise.

looking at NS@I income bonds.
What are they up to?
First they cancel a proposed reduction to 0.7%.
They keep them at an attractive 1.16% and attract billions.
Then suddenly reduce them to zero (0.01%)

I reckon they will issue a Covid bond or similar any time now.

Are the markets about to be spooked?

Crazi
U moan and moan about comments on this BB
U hold at 26
For real I hold at 65
Why do u think political decisions should not affect SP?
The whole point about political discussion is that is the factor determining share price
Why did the share price tank - bcos some nurd at PRA with bailey decided the banks will pay no divi - and banks will take the risks to bail out all and sundry.

adyfc - I have had such thoughts with my RDSB, which has shown a very similar turn of speed. But the other way of looking at it is that many stocks are not just undervalued but grossly and absurdly undervalued, and what's happened lately is just the start. There is no earthly reason Lloyds should not be at 60p or better.

Maxk theres no pleasing the Jocks. They had a flippin fortune off the EU & proper lifted 2 Jags leg to break up the fleet which meant the UK had to pay the EU eye watering subscriptions from that point & forever more. The Jocks certainly contributed significantly to the worst post war debt to GDP ratio at the time. Its probably why the Jocks think the EU is so great, theyve had windfall after EU windfall aswell as receiving an extremely generous Barnett allowance from Westminster. It will be interesting to see how many Scottish fishermen choose to expand their operations to make Capitol from the extra quotas that will be available or if theyll just sit back and waste the opportunity that Boris and the Tory government has fought tooth & nail to provide for them. Some people have very short memories & love a good moan dont they.
