g16First time we've seen human walking to his grave....lolThis election was fun for us and still is.Who cares who win eventually. The next chapter about to start and the fun will continue. When people realise who is in power (Hillary's and Pelosi) that will be more embarrassing for America after stealing this election. Lol....

Brexit will be different now.

Biden will want a trade deal with the EU. and will probably force a combined deal with the UK and EU. at the same time.

America have had power over us since WW2.
They ordered us out of Suez way back, and have demanded loyalty on every dreadful policy they have carried out.
When Wilson refused to support Vietnam they destroyed him.

Recently Trump ordered us to remove Chinese 5G, and to cancel our planned digital tax.
We had to obey.

What pressure will Biden apply?

?John Redwood@johnredwood·1hTime to do more to get the UK back to work as safely as possible. Where are the government ideas and help to business to live with the virus whilst we await more effective cures? We want more levelling up, not more closing down.

Cant disagree with that Dr. Hes definitely earned his place in the list of all time nutters. Trouble is theres plenty more contenders at the moment and it does seem that democracy is on the back foot and scarily it hasnt really been around that long. In some ways a bit like communism. IMO the warning bells should be ringing

In a speech on Friday night, Biden stopped short of declaring outright victory, but said he is set to win the election "with a clear majority, with the nation behind us". However, he acknowledged the country's divisions and urged Americans to "put anger and demonisation behind us", adding: "We may be opponents, but we’re not enemies."

Refreshing. Back to sensible comments and not hate Tweets.

This thread has become even better now that Biden will be POTUS. I'm going to enjoy all those chimps eating rotting bananas!

Have a good weekend folks!

PS: I'm still waiting for your answer cheshire:

Do armed right-wing supporters at polling stations undermine democracy or not?

Yes or no? Surely you can compute the answer immediately.

LOL!

But according to the orange man he recently said in one of his rallies imagine how he would feel if he lost against the worst President candidate?...so if he does lose the election then that would make him the lowest of the low candidate!...

Two amazing stats:
* Joe Biden’s won the most votes by any presidential candidate in US history.
* Donald Trump’s won 7m more votes than he got in 2016, & 4m more than Hillary Clinton got.

Maybe little understood is that the Withdrawal agreement also included Euratom as a party. Euratom is separate from the EU btw and the Euratom Treaty represents legislation with respect to environmental impact and protection of humans.

Probably great news for Cheshire - save money by dumping waste into territorial waters. Grow bigger fish?

And thanks to trump all of the despots above can look to the US and say that you don’t have to accept election results if it doesn’t go the way you want.

General comment seems to be that Biden didn’t win by as much as predicted due to some of the more left wing ideas. I think he’ll be a moderate - given he hasn’t got control of both houses that’ll be a balance anyway.

Will be interesting to see if suddenly the republicans are going to start saying that the US debt is now an issue. After Trump tax cuts the deficit has ballooned (this was before covid). Trumps promises of rebuilding the US infrastructure were empty still needs paying for.

Well, the good news is:

The free trade deal with the US is off the agenda. It was never going to happen anyway, cos they would have wanted it all ways.

Now we can just get on with what we already have, a WTO deal. Which works fine for us.

Biden will be ok in office.
The news media will miss Trump.
He always gave them lots to talk about.

If you think that Biden is for those left wing progressives you are wrong.
They were his route to power, nothing more.

Trump got in last time promising miners and steel workers that he would turn back the clock.
Just after votes, nothing more.

Life will be quieter, more boring, and that is good.
A naughty, disruptive, attention seeking boy has been kicked out of the classroom.
