This caught my eye, whilst eating my Weetabix. About CBI...Ben Gerstein28 Oct 2020 6:15AM"We are all Leavers now"? We are all liars now, apparently. The CBI fought tooth and nail to soften Brexit until it was nothing; they were not misrepresented as opposing and undermining the country's democratic choice, that's exactly what they did, until Boris was elected and they saw the writing on the wall.... The CBI has a long record of recommending damaging EU economic policies to the U.K, starting with the Exchange Rate Mechanism which caused a deep recession and continuing with support for policies causing the banking crash. Why should we trust their advice on Brexit?

Do all other countries use the crazy method of counting anyone who died after testing positive within the past 28 days. Utter bull*hit. Test positive then get hit by a bus. It’s covid. Test positive but be 86, diabetic and in need of a heart transplant - its covid.

Is it me or has the U.S effectively 'contained' it's death rate from Covid to between 500 and 1000 a day?
The new cases may be hitting new highs but the death rate seems to have levelled off somewhat.
Not that I'm trying to put a 'positive spin' on this terrible disease. Just calling it like I see it.
The world figures for both cases and deaths continue to grow.
Stay safe...dont bath with a friend.

Does not matter about the pay - the job was the job - and there can be no answer to failing to do the job.
But there seems to be always an excuse.
For those that died.

Utyinv,

Exactly. Good post.

"For those who are genuinely in need of food,"

There are also food banks as well. No one should go hungry, especially kids but child benefit, food banks etc, help is already available for people.

The question is during term time, who has been feeding the kids at weekends all these years???

If you simply hand money to people, cash/food, they will get used to it and not learn to fend for themselves.

We sadly -- have so many in HOC - who have no basic understanding of anything that MP responsibilities mean.
5xy posts comments from John Redwood which help to explain the problems and questions that need to be answered.
I ask a simple question - how many MPs understand the flaws in the Withdrawal Agreement engineered by treason to keep us in the EU.
Ishould not guess or estimate the ability of the HOC to achieve M2 standard - - but IQ is not the standard - is it?

I know kids eat 5 g phones like mad - that is indeed the reason why they cannot have takeaway pizza every day - they have only limited data.
Airhead rashford wants them to have one every day - grandma says - why have u grown so fast.
Every egghead wants a say in this mess - and the benefit??
