for many the furlough scheme is popular.

but mainly 'our wonderful civil servants' as Boris calls them.
A full Paid holiday without the hassle of the daily commute.
They do not work from home, they do not work.
Not forgetting our 1m 'wonderful' NHS. workers.
Not many are in the front line.

Two sorts of workers now;
Those that work for the state.
the suckers that don't who's taxes pay for them to live in total security.

'Essential' workers.
The real essential workers are those who's efforts and taxes pay for the so called essential workers.

This is a PM who is widely reported to have said...f..k business.

Seriously, what did you expect?.

He's a journalist, not an entrepreneur.

If pubs and restaurants can open so can every work place. The Government should have given an order to all businesses to make the necessary provisions to continue business. One month would have been enough to stick tape and signs round the factories and offices.

School holidays should have been cancelled and a state of emergency declared to get our country’s economy back on track.
Boris is probably so wrapped up in his new little world with his new baby that he going from disaster to disaster.

Pension funds with the fire power should dictate policy not Government whose only interested is to satisfy their own egos.

Pension funds have everyone’s future in their sights and try to deliver.

What is the point in working hard, saving and investing for a Government to throw it all away.

I wrote to my Conservative MP ( a prominent figure in the cabinet) to say that the policies adopted by the PM is anti business and thus anti Conservative. He actually replied to say he agrees but the PM is adamant he is right.
Apparently he only listens to his own ego and that of Cummings. I may get some down ticks but who cares. They promised so much during the election to make business work and instead we are in the middle of a slow motion catastrophic car crash.
Lloyds share price is down to the bad management of our Government who has an axe to grind regarding Banks as a whole.

Banks should have taken the Treasury to court. They are poor at PR as when the Business Secretary said taxpayers helped banks so now banks need to help taxpayers, the banks should have gone to the media to broadcast every penny the banks took from the Government was repaid with interest.

They should go on to say it wasn’t solely the banks that contributed to the 2008 crisis, it was the greedy Joe public wanting more debt to pay for bigger houses, holidays abroad, bigger newer cars etc. What caused the debt crisis was a delusion of grandeur by Joe Public. What happened to the days when people were happy to have a week or two at Skegness?

It’s obvious Boris Johnson’s administration hates banks. The USA was responsible for much of the global crisis but their Government let them off lightly. But our Marxist BoE and PRA are trying to make us into a Marxist state where joe public get money for free.

Many of the jobs that are going to be lost were on the rails anyway. Rather than procrastinating and trying to keep afloat a non viable business the Gov should target help rather than applying a course blanket help system.

Time and money could have been spent on starting up new businesses instead of throwing good money after bad.

I hope the new CEO starts challenging the Gov as Lloyds were promised by the Gov at the time that helping out HBOS would pay dividends as being the new ‘Bank of Britain’ and shareholders would reap the rewards for their support. Never trust politicians and take them to court and sue them personally is my view.

FT - Treasury and banks in talks to tackle coming wave of bad Covid debt.

Now this is the interesting bit, reportedly UK banks need to attempt to have
the money repaid, before the government guarantee kicks in. What does this entail?.

HMG may push for longer loan times in order to give borrowers an opportunity
to repay the money back, up to 10 years mentioned.

I've raised this as a potential risk area for UK banks going forward.

Will UK banks end up on the hook for some of these delinquencies?.

Elizabeth Hood26 Jul 2020 12:32PMThis coronavirus is the strangest virus I've ever heard of. It's very dangerous the way it spreads. It is so mysterious the way it lurks in schools, but then dies at B&Q. It is sneaky. It can spread when buying clothes at M&S but not at Tesco. It is non-alcoholic. It can't spread when you are buying beer. It lives for two days on Amazon boxes, you must wait 48 hours to touch them but It can't survive on takeaway coffee cups, so enjoying a hot cup of costa is safe. It is spread by hair stylists, dog groomers, and dentists, but not by bank tellers, cashiers, and fast food workers. It's so smart. It won't bother the first 10 people but it knows when the 11th person shows up so be careful if that's you. It even knows what you want vs what you need. If you want a massage or your nails done it is very actively on the prowl and not even a mask can stop it but If you need a plumber, it is weak, and a mask will keep it away. It won't affect you in a taxi, but your not allowed to take people in your car. You can have a cleaner to come into your house and touch what they like, but do not allow a friend or family member inside as they are far more likely to contaminate you. It also seems to be most dangerous after 5:30pm so businesses must start to close before the virus comes out and wreaks havoc upon the populations. Whoever heard of such a smart sneaky virus?!?Angela Marks26 Jul 2020 12:42PM@Elizabeth HoodThe whole coronahoax is the biggest psychological operation in the history of mankind It has hypnotised the populace and can be described as a media-led mass psychosis. These same brainwashed people  are sleepwalking us all into a dystopian nightmare. They are the biggest danger to our freedom Elizabeth Hood26 Jul 2020 12:45PM@Angela Marks @Elizabeth HoodAbsolutely.
