16/4/2020 09:20 | CtR, i was looking into helping in some way, as i am clear of it, you think i can find anything in my local area ? no chance, i got a feeling that they do not want 'locals' as they would have to pay minimum wage, but they dont have to to EU migrants, i am thinking that is nearer the truth...... | aljm

According to the wireless (LBC) thousands of people (brits) want to go picking, but cant get a look in" That'd be the information gap. As per my post. Most people do not know which farms are looking in the first instance. No website collating all the info so people can look and see if any farm in their region/county is in need of help. "The co organising the Romanian flights say it's too hard to get Brits to do the work" Probably a mixture of truth, and Pro Remain propaganda in that I am sure. Well they make money for Freedom of movement of EU citizens so they'll be as rampantly pro Remain as Alporn and Mitty. | crossing_the_rubicon

One of the main problems is few are aware of which farms are looking for help. Ditto which are looking to sell their produce direct to retail. Likewise which British fisherman are selling their fish direct to market (and travelling to do so) We used to get fish delivered from up north..the fisherman had a "route" whereby it was worth his while driving down from Hull, selling all of the days catch, then heading home. Once per week. Then he disappeared. Not been able to find an alternative since. There simply isnt enough information available which is a major problem imo. | crossing_the_rubicon
