mitchy, dty but it does have it's issues.

As for covid 19, many have next to no symptoms at all but I expect the panic to continue, especially in this country as more without a doubt will be infected.

No need to worry about schools closing. Greta has not been for a few years and look how clever she is.

Out of nothing they created a monster.. GRETA. When first started she was unable to put two sentences together. "Just sit there, you don't have to say anything "... they groom her but still incapable to cope. Yes she will do good and also famous and rich but will she cope in the long run.. The day will come when this poor soul will find herself alone and in a psychiatric unit all alone from her "dream".. and her fans.

Is anyone placing long term put/call options on LLOY?

If so which broker are you using? IG Index don't offer the facility.

When the dust settles a cheap to buy call option will pay out bigly when the share price rises from oversold.

Which it will IMO.

It is interesting to note that the very good stocks haven't shifted that much at all.

Agreed. I hate giving business to stockbrokers and market makers unless I really really have to. One advantage of running your own portfolio is being able to keep your costs down and you remove that completely if you start to play the game Mr Market wants you to. Buy a good company for a fair or better price and stick with it, have faith in your convictions. If you don't have faith you need to improve your knowledge so you do or leave the game completely.

Buying LLoy at these prices must be a good long/medium term bet as long as they hold the dividend somewhere near the 6% +.
Had a few more this morning.

And, as WB said the other day, if you plan to be a net buyer of shares over the long run, lower prices make for bargains. It is like buying food which we all hope to do for the rest of our lives. Everyone likes a good deal.

Neither have I. These things come and go, but unless the world spins off its axis then things will recover. That's the main difference between being an investor (owning a slice of a business) and the short term opportunist traders. Each to their own but in the very long run it is the owner who does best. There are exceptions but there it is.
