Sadly, Brexit is nowhere near done. It is only just the beginning. Let us see if the current government force Hard-Brexit next year. The fireworks will begin then if they do. I have the popcorn ready.

BROWN ON THE UNION. Former PM Gordon Brown said UK is unbreakable. Nicola Sturgeon has no case for referendum because nothing change and as we don't know what the deal and future relations with Europe would look like and Scotland will be far more comfortable (economically better off) with the UK in the future.

Patient Capital: "But, maxk, this diversity is the “in” thing even if it is vomit inducing."

Certainly is PC, looked up Morgan Stanley website earlier for something else and first thing that hits you is "Diversity". What with "inclusion", the latest buzz words in the workplace. Noticed it several years back, cost saving exercise often times but dressed up as politically correct and caring.

You expect this sort of idiocy at universities and in government, but it is sickening when you find it in major corporations. Sickening - and inexplicable.

When I play freecell, adverts sometimes come up for Standard Chartered, I think it is, going on about certain things being "unacceptable." And I wonder, what makes you think I have the slightest interest in your opinion on these matters? Do you seriously think this guff will make me more likely to want to bank with you?

The world is changing but not labour. When people, voters talk, politicians must listen and react to their demands. Labour ignore them and try to force on them their will and way of thinking. Labour party is 'dead'.

I see no future for labour.. they are afraid to face the truth and afraid to change. They need a new leader outside to change the party and their policies. Another 10 lost years for old labour. That's good news as UK need a conservative government to take us forward the future.. not backwards like labour would have done.

Called in at the estate/letting agent this afternoon and house prices have risen since the election even oop north, or perhaps I should say especially oop north. Reason being threat of Corbyn's proposals gone and investors now committing to buy to let under Boris underpinning the whole market. Happy days, hopefully 10 to 15 years of prosperity and possibly longer if the scourge of hard left socialism can be eradicated for good.

UK is on top of the list until it isn't. Best not bring in the digital tax or Trump and his cronies will not be impressed. That means giving unfair advantage to the likes of Uber and Amazon which means kissing goodbye to traditional London Taxis and the continual destruction of our high-street.

Very clever.......NOT!

Bring on that chicken Donald!

M5... well said. But on saying that I am off out to a 'nice' place tonight. Rare treat for me as my regular goto is a really good indian --- struggle to do that myself as they fire everything on a charcoal tandoor--- very authentic. You can definitely get good food and service on a budget. I think sometimes you just pay for the location and the exclusivity if that's your thing.
