13/12/2019 18:37 | Earlier this morning I post these three post. This union will not break but it's time, does need reform. .Scotland vote for a strong voice in parliament and no to break up.In a referendum Nicola will get thesame surprise as JC tonight..By the time Nicola gets her referendum, at least 5 years from now, Britain will be so far ahead with a strong economy and Brussels in a distressing situation.... Trust me Nicola will not know were the exit is..Unless Nicola get her referendum in the next 3 months with vote in 12 months.... she has no chance. | k38
13/12/2019 18:31 | Can we have indy for Yorkshire and then Lincolnshire and Lancashire. oh! and the metropolitan area's of course. You may as well at the same time have indy for little old Rutland. Pity really because the union we have now is all but small on the world stage.Half of Americans don't even know where the U.K. is. (could be a small island in the Atlantic possibly?) | excell1
13/12/2019 18:29 | Biggest laugh ever was Brown. He said the scottish people should have a vote to leave , but he would still want England to pay pensions, nhs bill and supply defence | sentimentrules
13/12/2019 18:27 | Any thoughts on where this is heading on Monday? Is it back to 61p or 67p? | gaffer73
13/12/2019 18:23 | C and RI say my opinion, I do not want to force it on others. It's just advice.I am supporter of self determination but one must put logic before action. Scotland vote to remain in Europe but they vote overwhelmingly to remain with in UK too.And we all know.. you are not independen in Europe... ordinary people are worse off ...In my opinion, they will get their referendum but under Boris terms..;)) | k38
13/12/2019 18:13 | Scotland should have the right to vote on inderef 2. But first it must be clear as to what we are leaving if we are to leave the UK... we dont know what the uks relationship with the eu will be right now and secondly, the answers to the questions that where not answered last time. Namely, relationship and method into Europe, currency and tackling the deficit. Oh security as well. Paint a picture on all of that so that the Scottish people can make an educated choice. Not the pantomime we have lived the last 3 years. | 1carus
13/12/2019 18:10 | @K38 The point though is self determination is key. I'm aware of the differences between the two unions. I mentioned some!! Scotland voted overwhelmingly to Remain in EU - in a Reffy that came after their independence one. Which is why I'fd be happy for them to have another Reffy because the terms of their "staying in the Union" changed so dramatically. BUT it'd have to be a Union wide vote. To include England, Wales and NI. I'm not fussed. United Ireland in or out of Union. Letting the people of those nations decide themselves is key... "This, independence idea, break up UK, is a Brussels plan." This is untrue. It's human nature to want self determination. As a Brexiteer I thought you'd get that!!! Why would Scots want England telling them how to live anymore than Brits want EU telling us all how to live. The UK breaking up might well also be beneficial or what EU wants, but all Unions come to an end when they're held together by means other than mutual desire to stay united! | crossing_the_rubicon
13/12/2019 18:01 | Make no mistake. This, independence idea, break up UK, is a Brussels plan. | k38
13/12/2019 17:57 | C the RFirst, there are different between the two unions, ours and Brussels. Second, Scotland already vote to stay with the UK....referendum for independence it's a dream of SNP and Nicola. Move her from power and treat the cancer....;)) God knows what they promise to her and how she will benefit from it. If she wants the best for Scotland and the union she should take the fight to the parliament and change the system within. I am for a United Ireland but within the union. | k38
13/12/2019 17:45 | @k38 Thing is, regarding "independence for Scotland, Wales and united Ireland in the European union" if that is what the Scots, Welsh and Irish want then it'd be hypocritical for us to stop them... After all, we wanted to leave the EU, to breakaway from a super state that was forming. UK is essentially similar on a smaller scale really. Welsh were conquered, Scots were bailed out. Ireland/NI a sectarian mess. I'm happy to let them all have Independence votes myself BUT as I highlighted above in Scotlands example - same would apply to Wales and NI. Wales isnt economically viable as an independent nation. They know it, we know it. It's unfortunate but a fact. A united Ireland makes sense and, due to demographic changes, brainwashing of each new generation, is inevitable. | crossing_the_rubicon
13/12/2019 17:38 | Remember this. The war from Brussels it's not over.. they lost UK but...The next war from Brussels is to destroy the union.. independence for Scotland, Wales and unites Ireland in the European union. Easier to control UK. .For now the tricks are over...Merkel: "Common task to maintain and deepen friendship and partnership "Macron:"the fairer we are to one another, the closer our relationship can be" | k38
13/12/2019 17:30 | h2There is no independents in Brussels. Scotland and it's people are going to be worse off in Brussels. They are better off with UK. Nicolas dream will destroy Scotland. | k38
13/12/2019 17:29 | Sam Gyimah gone eh? Well i did warn him he'd be toast with his frustrating democracy, and he could say goodbye to my vote he previously enjoyed. Just got a standard reply a few weeks later. Oh well, a self imposed journey of Tory bright shining star - safe Tory seat - Tory leader candidate - then it all goes pear shaped when he thought he knew better than his electorate - booted out - into libdems - onto dole - maybe a trial at McDs if lucky. | pierre oreilly
13/12/2019 17:26 | "The trouble with a second Scottish ref is that they will say no again..." Not if you give England the vote as well :) Which second time around they should do. For Wales as well. | crossing_the_rubicon
13/12/2019 17:17 | The trouble with a second Scottish ref is that they will say no again... The only way for Scotland to get Indy is to allow the people living in England to vote as well, then they will get their independence... | hernando2
13/12/2019 17:08 | AlpNo doub whatsoever. The world is changing around us and we have to follow and change. Brussels (Germany and France) are trying to build an old fashion and corrupt empire. They are going to fail. We are lucky to be out. | k38
13/12/2019 17:01 | k38 - a post full of doubt! Are you sure? Lol | alphorn
13/12/2019 16:55 | cm - well done. ;) | alphorn |
