Volunteers’, Port Infrastructure, Logistics Hubs In Ukraine

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation do not stop daily devastating strikes on targets deep in Ukrainian rear regions. On the night of March 6th, Ukrainian rear infrastructure came under another wave of drone and missile strikes.
According to the Air Force of Ukraine, in total, two Iskander-M missiles and 112 UAVs targeted Ukrainian territory during the night. Ukrainian air defense allegedly destroyed 68 Russian drones, 43 decoy UAVs disappeared without inflicting any damage. The Ukrainian military confirmed damage in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk regions. Ukrainian officials rarely reveal the real scale of the damage to Ukrainian rear infrastructure.
Russian strikes throughout Ukraine continue day and night. Over the past day alone, Russian strikes were recorded in the areas under control of the Ukrainian military in Donbass, in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporozhie, Kherson, Poltava, Odessa, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkassy regions.
One of the targets of Russian attack was a hotel in the city of Krivy Rih in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Foreign mercenaries and instructors from NATO countries often stay in hotels in the rear regions. Hotels in Krivy Rih are coming under Russian attacks on a regular basis because almost all of them were turned into bases and points of deployment of the Ukrainian military command and foreign fighters.
On the morning of March 6th, Zelensky was forced to admit that there were foreigners hiding in the destroyed hotel in Krivy Rih. According to him, a group of US and British citizens checked into the hotel “literally before” the missile attack. However, Zelensky claims that the foreigners represented “one of the humanitarian organizations,” without revealing the name of the organization that the “volunteers” represented.
The reference to “humanitarian organizations” and “volunteers” is standard for the Ukrainian authorities, who are forced to acknowledge the deaths of foreigners. In the vast majority of cases, these formulations hide foreign mercenaries and military instructors. After years of Kiev’s lies about Russian attacks on civilians in Ukraine, claims of Ukrainian officials can no longer be trusted.
According to Ukrainian official data, four people were killed and more than 30 others were injured as a result of the attack; but according to preliminary estimations by Russian monitoring sources, 28 people were killed in the strike.
The local reports also confirm that the hotel was full of foreigners during the attack, who reportedly included a group of military specialists from France. The local residents also reported that the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) officers were the first to arrive to the area immediately after the strike. The medics who arrived to save the wounded were forced to sign “non-disclosure papers,” and the evacuation of the survivors was “very fast.” Thus, Russian strike destroyed an important target, and the result of the attack are deal damage to Kiev’s foreign allies.
Together with the hotel in Krivy Rih, Russian strikes inflicted more damage to the port infrastructure in the southern region of Odessa, which is pounded byu Russian drones and missiles on a daily basis. The local authorities also confirmed damage to an infrastructure facility in the town of Yuzhny.
Ukrainian reporters confirmed the destruction of a military depot in the border Sumy region, where weapons from NATO could be stored. The military cargo was stored at the facilities of Nova Poshta company, which has been providing its logistics infrastructure to the Ukrainian military since the very beginning of hostilities.

thanks good research. It is the history of that region that is important to understanding.
Always trying to understand Putins point of view.
There used to be the Cold War groups of The Warsaw Pact counties and the NATO countries. America denominated NATO and Russia dominated the Warsaw Pact.
That is all old history now, the Warsaw Pact has disbanded, the battle has been won by free market capitalism and democracy.
That said, Putin and the Russians, no longer communists by any definition, must be angry after the coup of 2014 which ousted the traditional pro Russian leader and replaced him with a leader that was demanding NATO membership ad wished to join the EU. Going over to the old enemy right on Russias doorstep.
We should have some respect for the 23m dead Russians in WW2 and understand their mentality. They are a long suffering people and not wealthy by Western standards. |
Careful, fair enough , it was a terminalogical inexactitude :) . It was 1954 and it was about 1990 when the Soviet UNION, the evil empire broke up . What Pustin believes is irrelevant and he also believes Georgia, Moldova etc should be taken back . The Scottish situation is NOT an analogy as scotland is a country controllled by a former Colonial power but has a few devolved powers . I hope they get full indePENDENCE one day . |
