16/6/2024 09:53 | When you think about it, the long term bulls have been exiting? It makes sense. At the mid going negative, lloyds market only had to do less than a point breakout to stay bullish verses a few years of down down/ stagnation , and yield destroyed with capital Even a temp exit was very very sensible, for any class of investor - income, capital yield, etc | institutional investments

16/6/2024 09:43 | How ridiculous. A party who will win hardly any seats saying what they would do if they were in power. How did that song go? "If I ruled the World, every day would be the first day of Spring".... But I suppose they are appealing to the millions of simple minded voters. Reform are a pressure group, they are doing a good job in that respect. But this time, they are more than that. They have halved the Tory vote, and polls suggest that Labour will get a super majority with about 38% of the vote. (Tories 44% last time). Farage will be judged kindly by history for helping to remove the Tories from power. Sunak will be judged kindly for doing us the great service of helping to removing the buffoon Johnson, and bring to an end the old incompetent Etonian clique. | careful

16/6/2024 09:35 | Easy for shorters . They got a risk attached of only 1 point at the mid, and can hold it for 2 years to 20s if think going there But to come away from technical, fundamentalists, why would funds buy now? | institutional investments
16/6/2024 09:32 | Lets test the fundamentalists and reasons for lloyds to change then Here is a very basic one. I mean, week 1 for dummies so most would see this hence not mind highlighting it. Question for bulls is: What's different in 2024? | institutional investments
16/6/2024 09:17 | UK Reform Party..The Nigel Farage tax plan to make Britain Great Again Nigel Farage’s party to promise tax cuts for white van man as they brand Labour a caffe latte party Nigel Farage's squad say they are the party of the workers now Nigel Farage’s squad will announce a slew of tax cuts at the launch for their blueprint for power on Monday. Reform Party chairman Richard Tice - who is running to be an MP - said: “Reform is the real party of the workers, who have been abandoned by ‘cafe latte’ Labour.” Reform UK will promise to abolish IR35 - laws which critics say force self employed tradesmen like plumbers and electricians to pay too much tax. The threshold at which you have to register for VAT will be lifted to £150,000 to free small businesses from red tape. Corporation tax will also be cut from 25 per cent to 15 per cent over three years. And people will only have to start paying income tax at £20,000, not the current threshold of £12,750. Reform have enjoyed a huge surge in the polls after Mr Farage’s bombshell political comeback. A shock YouGov survey out earlier this week put them ahead of the Tories for the first time. They want to get a whopping six million votes in the election. Party insiders said they reckon they can get up to six parliamentary seats. | johnwise
16/6/2024 09:17 | IN VIDEO: HEZBOLLAH FIGHTERS TAKE OUT ISRAELI ‘DRONE DOME’ SYSTEM WITH KORNET MISSILE Support SouthFront Hezbollah’s Military Media has released more videos of recent attacks against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), with one of them showing the group’s fighters destroying what appears to be a Drone Dome counter-drone system. The Drone dome system was deployed at the al-Ramtha site. In the video, Hezbollah fighters can be seen destroying the system with a Russian-made Kornet anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) or its Iranian copy, Dehlavieh. The attack took place on June 13. Drone Dome was developed by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The system is made up of different sensors including a RADA Electronic Industries RPS-42 radar, a CONTROP Precision Technologies imaging system and radio signal detectors. The system costs a little over $3,2 million. Hezbollah has destroyed several such systems since the start of the ongoing confrontation with the IDF. The same video showing the attack on the Drone Dome includes footage of an ATGM strike on the settlement of al-Manara from June 10 and another attack with an SPG-9 recoilless rifle on the Misgav Am site from June 14. A second video released by Hezbollah’s Military Media showed the group’s fighters firing dozens of rockets at the settlements of Kiryat Shmona, Kfarsold and Margaliot on June 14. Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks from Lebanon against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Gaza Strip after the outbreak of the Israeli war on the enclave last October. So far, the border clashes have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 15 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 500 people have been killed, including 324 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 90 civilians. Support SouthFront | stonedyou
16/6/2024 09:14 | HEZBOLLAH HIT ISRAELI AIR CONTROL, COMMAND BASES WITH GUIDED MISSILES & SUICIDE DRONES (VIDEOS) Support SouthFront Hezbollah attacked on June 15 key targets of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) using guided missiles and suicide drones. The group announced in a statement that its fighters launched guided missiles at the air traffic control base on Mount Meron, destroying radars and other military equipment. The IDF acknowledged later that the base was struck by two projectiles. However, it said that there are no injuries and “no harm to the unit’s capabilities” in the attack. In another statement, Hezbollah said that its fighters attacked Khirbet Maar base, the headquarters of the artillery battalion of the Western Brigade, with “squadrons&rdq The IDF later admitted that several suicide drones launched by Hezbollah impacted near the settlement of Goren, where Khirbet Maar base is located, sparking a fire. It also said that it was investigating why it failed to down the drones. No casualties were reported, however. Hezbollah said in yet another statement that its fighters targeted a post manned by Israeli troops in the Hadab Yaron border site. The IDF didn’t report any casualties after the attack. In its statements, Hezbollah noted that the attacks were carried out in response to the recent Israeli assassination of its senior commander Taleb Sami Abdullah as well as in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip. The IDF retaliated to the attacks by launching a series of strikes against targets in southern Lebanon, the heartland of Hezbollah. One of the strikes hit a motorcycle near the town of Aitaroun, killing a member of Hezbollah, the IDF said in a statement. Lebanese media reported casualties, but Hezbollah has not yet mourned any of its fighters or commanders. Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza last October, Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks from Lebanon against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Strip. Despite the recent escalation in the clashes between the IDF and Hezbollah on the Israeli-Lebanese border, a full-blown war between the two remains highly-unlikely.

16/6/2024 08:01 | Houthis launch series of maritime attacks on 3 ships in Red and Arab Seas ALBAWABA- Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Saree, confirmed the attacks, stating that three military operations were conducted within 24 hours. Saree detailed the operations: the first targeted the ship Verbena in the Arabian Sea, the second targeted the Seaguardian vessel in the Red Sea, and the third targeted the ship Athina, also in the Red Sea. All three vessels were reportedly hit directly. The Houthi-run Yemeni Armed Forces claimed these operations were carried out in support of Gaza. The escalation raises significant concerns about maritime security in the region. The US Central Command reported that the Houthis hit a Ukrainian cargo tanker in the Gulf of Aden with two cruise missiles. 16/6/2024 07:49 | Gordon Brown and Nigel Farage are not usually political bedfellows.Yet in an unexpected turn of events, both the former Labour prime minister and the new leader of Reform want the next government to take the same step: slash the money paid by the Bank of England to commercial banks.A technical change to the way the Bank works could save taxpayers billions something that looks increasingly attractive as public finances remain tight. Speculation is mounting that Reeves will find the policy simply too tempting to ignore if Labour wins power. But commercial banks that would lose out from the change warn the policy risks leading to higher mortgage rates in effect making it a stealth tax on homeowners. At issue is the way high street lenders earn interest themselves. Commercial banks need a bank and Threadneedle Street plays that role. It pays the base interest rate on all the cash stored, an important mechanism for transferring monetary policy into the real economy....Daily Telegraph | xxxxxy
